Adding more 4x12 cabs to my studio for the sole purpose of guitarists to come in and compare. what others would you want me to have?

the mesa split back is of interest but the 2x12 EVM didn't sound nearly as good as the 4x12, so I got rid of it.

yikes, im afraid my floors are gonna fall in now with 1/3 of that, ill stick just putting four different speakers in my 4x12s to record lol.

Been on the hunt for a KRANK...hard to find one in good shape though.

Mills afterburner is a good oddball. I feel like it is perfect with red backs or mixed with k100s and v30s

Maybe try to find something cool and exotic like a Mills Afterburner?

Hey man killer cabs I would add, Front loaded diezel 4x12 do with G1265 (Great in diezel recommended to me by leo my cab sounds amazing with them) maybe 2 k100 or 150's for different flavor. I would do a fryette fat bottom cab with those pg70's in them had one few years back lost it in a flood best sounding cab i have heard in a long time. Get old randall carpet jaugar cab and be amazed how good those puppys are! Maybe an old sun amps 4x12 type deal or old bassman cab if you can find one. Krank Krankenstein cab (Some change the speaker but with some amps they actually sound pretty sick with certain amps Mic the port lol)

Good stuff my greatest challenge has been finding cabs that are still in show room condition. the Diezel cabs have been on my radar for awhile now. would like to get one of the original german made versions. I'm not sure if the coffee cabs are still in business?

side note. I have so many cabs because I only have on type of speaker in each one, I got away from mixing models due to the phasing they create. I'm really into purity when tracking high gain tube amps. I usw high-end mics and pre's NEVE, API Gefell, Neumann, royer, beyer AEA so, I go the extra mile with the sound source.

I have also been finding blending speakers seems to take away the focus and clarity of the sound. Using all of the same speaker seems to come out clearer and more punchy.
