Adding more 4x12 cabs to my studio...

They need different speakers. The stock Eminence speakers are kinda boring. I had V30s in mine and it ripped.

are the speakers hard to get out?? id like to get those awful eminences out of mine but i thought i remember reading he used some seal or something on the speakers that you had to basically jack hammer out

I'm primarily a drum tracking studio but, I'm slowly adding guitar and bass to the fold.

You've already got a good amount of V30's in there, but if there was something missing from that list I'd say a Bogner 412B, and a maybe a good open back 4x10 are the only things I can think of. Maybe some good alnico speakers in the 4x10. You also don't have any alnico 12's, but that might be by choice as they're not for everybody. So maybe an openback VOX 2x12 with Celestion Blues (for chime and sparkle), or Fane AXA12's (for balls and midrange grind).

Mine weren't. That was years ago but I remember it being like a regular cab. I had a rear loaded 2x12, but I doubt it was that different from a 4x12.

How about a Bogner cab? I have an old rear loaded Uber cab and last year bought a Helios cab with a quartet of greenbacks.

Both are super well made and sound killer.

Get the Oversized Marshall and maybe a Friedman.

I get a lot of bogner cabs coming in with clients, which turns into a shoot-out and the bogner has never won. as once I show the client the phasing issues it has. couple of them sold theirs as a result. great live cab though.

I've often thought about a 4x10 but, have never been asked for one in the studio. never had one come through the door either.

I have a bunch of ALNICO's FANE & Celestion...didn't want to go there though with this thread.
