Using some Ownhammer IR for this clip, gotta say I love the new 4x12 Modern and Vintage ones. This is their English V30 with SM57, just loaded the IR in the Torpedo, no further tweaks.

I am more and more becoming hooked to this Overdrive pedal I bought - Baldringer Dual Drive. Somehow the guy managed to really make it sound like a Marshall on tilt, when played into a clean amp.
Check it out, I think it's pretty rocking (and feels great to play by the way):

Another C45 lead clip. Starting with the volume dialed back on the guitar, then full on and backed off again. Later a CAE404 Wah and then a Foxrox Octron.
The gain on the amp is at noon! No boosts, besides the Octron at the end.

I am pretty chuffed, how great does this plugin sound? AWESOME! :rock:
I just had a project running with comparison of real cab recordings vs Torpedo Live, so I had one track layed down from the S/PDIF out without CabSim, and just added the WOSIII on the rhythm and lead track with a mix of...
Just downloaded the first free release of WOS III and I am pretty amazed.

Actually it was crashing me Logic X on the first two attempts of opening the plugin, but then created a new song without anything loaded, and now it works fine...
I did a recording laying down 4 tracks in one go, with the following setup:
Friedman
=>Torpedo
=>Rivera Rock Crusher
=>Marshall 4x12 (Made in 1973, Rola Greenbacks, straight cab)
The signal from the Torpedo went via S/PDIF to the recording unit, one track used the RackHero cab in the Torpedo...
Does the Torpedo Live cope with a fully cranked 100W Marshall (that might put out quite a bit more than 100W)?
Proper ventilation provided of course...
Some might remember the comparison of several IRs I did some time ago. Many mentioned it should have been a blind test. Ok I DLed some Ownhammer freebies from their site, previews for the up and coming libraries, and I think they are pretty amazing. 3 Different cabs, one of them in several...
I am lost with too many choices on the Torpedo and the cabs all sound so different, so I did this recording for myself actually as reference, so I thought why not share it.
Recording is PRS McCarty with a BareKnuckle RiffRaff Bridge, straight into the HBE input on the Friedman BE100, then...
