    NGD: Suhr Custom Classic T

Yesterday, I received the Suhr Custom Classic T I ordered. It's a partial twin to the Classic S I ordered last year. Thin skin, jumbo stainless, vintage c medium on a roasted maple neck, rosewood, JS sig on the headstock, traditional bridge, bucker route hidden where you'd expect it, etc. Main...

Need help getting my tone from Torpedo Live

Hello. I've had a Torpedo Live since May or so and have struggled with a variety of things. Right now, my biggest issue is getting my amps to sound as they do in the room with a cab (when mic'd). The tone comes across distorted, small and flat. I am not overdriving any of my input meters and...

    My Friedman collection...

Hi guys... I figured some of you would enjoy this. Pictured are: 1977 100w JMP w/ 100/50/25/10 switch and some sweetening done to it. This thing is uber loud and has an aggressive whack and 3d clean. I love this amp. It makes you feel your inner ear and where your heart is when on 7. Loves...

I gotta say it... I love my Herbert

Ya know. It seems like everytime I come back to the herbert- it's just a fun amp that sounds so good. It's not just for metal! :) cant wait to post clips when we hit the studio early next year. S.

How many times do you guys bias your Herberts?

It seems to me, all I have ever done is bias my amp. I can get it to sound killer, and then like a frog in boiling water... I realize months later that it doesn't sound the same. So I hop in there, and have to set the bias again. I've got matched tubes (Strb's) and have always had to do this...

Will JJ's make my Herbert cut better?

I dig my Herbert as it's a lot of fun and sounds great... but is there a way to make it cut better? I generally set the gain low, the mids up and dont really use the midcut- but I still have a hard time sometimes making the amp cut. I've tried it with a Greenback 4x12, a Celestion 65w 4x12, a...

    KT88's or JJ34's in a Herbert??

Hello. I generally run shuguang 34's in my herbert and dig them. My questions... 1. I ran 6550's and found them to be too preampy. Would KT88's do the same? 2. Would JJ el34's give me a more marshall midrange?? Thanks!! S.

    What speakers for a Herbert?

Hello. Next month I will be getting a matching Diezel 4x12R for my Herbert. 1. I understand that the NYC has a thinner baffle for a more spongy/vintage tone? Does that mean the normal R is a nice mid point between NYC and Front loaded? 2. Anyone try 30W Heritage Celestions? What are your...

How many of you mix your Diezel w/ a Marshall?

I notice a lot of guys (Neil Schon, Tony Rombola, Adam Jones, Warren Demartini, etc...) mix a marshall w/ a diezel. I gotta say- the two compliment each other well. I love running two halfers w/ my JMP and the Herbert. Sounds unreal!! S.
