Cool. Yeah I already have the Uberschall and MZero that do thrash metal well. Looking at Wizard MTL or MC II amps. I’m also a fan of ENGL amps like the Fireball and Savage.

Cool well then Wizard would be worth saving up for since I love the wide open 3D sound of my Mezzabarba amp which is huge and uncompressed. Hand wired point to point quality similar to Wizard and the red custom Onari transformers rock.

How does Wizard compare to Diezel, KSR, and Omega amps for high gain in terms of dry/wet, tightness and tone? I already have two nice expensive high gain amps with my Mezzabarba MZero and Bogner Uberschall Twinjet.

For less money, I may just get a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier and use a boost to clean it up. But for now, I have more than enough gear to master and use for recording stuff.

Wow dude you must really love Wizard amps! I’d love to try one some day but they are super rare. Before I drop that much scratch on an amp, I’d have to try one.

Depends on the liquor. Some 25 and 50 year single malt whiskeys cost far more than amps!

I’m really liking what Revv is doing with making their amps studio friendly for home guitarists who don’t play arenas. On my wish list and I played a used Generator a few years ago so massive but lots of switches and knobs like the ENGL Savage would take some time to learn the amp.

Well I scored a killer deal on a new Mezzabarba MZero and Mezzabarba 412 cab package to use with my Uberschall. Saved over 1k.

Had good results with this setting in my quick riff video I just got new Boss Waza TAE which lets me crank master and channel volumes at reasonable room levels so getting amazing tone way easier now. Pinch harmonics a breeze as this amp has massive gain and bass for days.

Depends really. If you are recording direct to a DAW, then yes, I would tend to agree using compression and EQ in the DAW is better for most cases. BUT for live performance and jamming, to get that thrash metal tightness using a compressor and noise gate with EQ is really great. Otherwise too...

Here is mine and I have an Uberkab arriving later this week. Uberschall Twinjet sounds massive but very tricky to dial in correctly! Channel one sounds a lot like a Plexi and channel 2 is the high gain one.
