Been eyeing the EVH Striped red since they debuted at NAMM, but i ended up getting a 7-string. Now I'm getting ready to check the eVH out again.
I've seen some of you guys here have it, some since it came out. what's your verdict after owning it awhile now? I'm most interested in the neck and...
Used to have 2 Kami, one like yours and a fluorescent green one.
Nice demo, i bet it would smoke with your Diezel
This is a very first Kami model that came out I found for sale here ( it's not mine), very cool:

the Wampler is great too, you'll love both. I would say the Wampler does country twang a bit better, but the SP is amazing and takes up literally a very small pedalboard space.
I originally got the SP just to improve my clean tones, but it works surprisingly with high gain too, so it stays on...
Dann Huff is among my favorite players of all times. That album is full of great tones and playing. i got to see them on that tour openning for Heart. Couldn't believe how great the sound was live, they sounded just like the record. Considering how much layering and overdub they did on this...
I love the 7-string neck, it's probably the fastest, most cofortable 7-string neck I ever played. If I didn't have my Dean RC7 I would've bought this one for sure. I'm keeping my eyes out for a good deal on a used one though.
Also the pickups, especially the neck, are amazinglingly articulate...
"Elegant Gypsy" and "Casino" are the best IMO for both songs and fierce playing
For great latin jazz compositions, "Tirami Su" has some great writing and beautiful harmonies
 He held that very guitar on the cover of "Fever Dream". I had that Laney head, plenty of bass but not enough gain. He claimed that he played straight into the amp with no effects on his REH video, but that's definitely not the case, the amp definitely has been either modified or a...
I got it out front, right after my wah, then the RC to the Arion Chorus to the ISP to the EVH. I got my G Major in the loop. Seems to work this way with the sP not intruding on the other effects.
Just an update: got the pedal and yes, it's a great unit. really enhanced and boost my clean sound nicely for funk and single note clean soloing.
The big surprise: it sounded great with high gain stuff too. For live i'm not sure if it would be too much, but damn, it really brought my EVH to...
that's the thing about Lynch, he's inconsistent. I heard him at NAMM plugging into a Diezel whipping off great runs and cool lines. other times it sounded like he just learned how to play the guitar
I think it's a great video, two guys just talking about what they love to do, with mutual respect. What they played almost don't matter, it wasn't like it's planned or rehearsed.
Saw Gary Hoey using it last Sat on the Guitar Gods tour. His tone was great, especially on slower tunes wnere he played very much in the Gary Moore/John norum style. He was riding the Red channel most of the time for solos, and it was the Stealth model. The 100w really cut live. Of course when...
You're using it for gain or clean solo boost?
I want to get it for clean funk rhythm and jazz/blues clean soloing. But seems like lots of guys are using it for high gain stuff too.
