Just saw this over at the SS site. This guy claimed to have signature models with Fender and Gibson(claimed to have the first 7-string signature model). Thing is, I never heard of him. Dude also refers to himself as "Maestro" :D

I've been experimenting with different tubes on the EVH 50-watt head. The TAD 6L6 that usually sounds good in my Randall MTS doesn't really quite work in the EVH, but I did find a Mesa Boogie 12AX7 works a bit better in the phase inverter than the JJ.
What some of your favorite 6L6 and 12AX7...
 don't forget the ever sought after Maxon boost, and the Arion Chorus (my personal favorite, got one in my pedalboard, that's one pedal that'll always be there)
I don't like some of his tunes either, but as a guitarist I love his solos and improvisation. He has a great feel for blues rock, just listen to "elevator" by Burning Water.
Also his session works are amazing as far as coming with parts that'll enhance and lift the song: "Angelia" by Richard...
well, Tate is not really "fucked" acdording to the settlement. He got a good chunk of change plus exclusive rights to Mindcrime. I'm glad it's settled and Queensryche can move on, their new singer sounds great.
Had plenty of experience with EMG. Right now I got a Dean RC7 with EMG 707.
The difference really happens when you record. In the studio I find eMG to be a lot more consistent and more even level and peak. This can equal sterile to some people, but to a guy like Steve Lukather, it's consistency...
just had my tech checked it out. As it turns out, the bridge and the post holding it in is the problem, it will not return the bridge to its original position. Either the bridge was not installed properly or one of the parts is not where it should be. Looks like this will have to go back :gethim:
yes sir, repeated the process several times. But still
Been awhile since i own a Floyd-guitars, now I know why, they're a fuckin' pain in the ass.
My Dean RC7X just came yesterday. The damn Floyd simply just will not stay in tune. Locking nut doesn't seem kto help keeping them in tune , especially with the treble strings G,B and high E.
Any suggestion please before I take it to my tech.
i love this tune. One of my all time fav DP songs. I was thinking of doing a cover but haven't got around to it.
As for the solo, I don't know, it's really off the cuff. Blackmore never played it the same twice live, always improvised. So take it for what its worth.
