A commonly asked question.
5150 II/6505+ (same thing, different name) are slightly less balsy, more upper-mid focused beasts with separate channel EQs, an improved clean channel, foot switchable crunch (pointless), bias points (pointless)
The 6534+ I've never played but it is the same...
Pretty common question.
NS-2 - Does the Job, kinda weak with really high gain. X pattern config possible.
ISP Decimator - Awesome but pricey.
ISP G string - Allows X pattern config.
MXR SmartGate - Not too sure about this one, not many people use it.
MXR Noise Clamp - Harsher, designed...
Thanks for the info. :)
I really like the idea of having a preset switch. Unfortunately, like you I probably won't want to use it to it's full potential, luckily I did hear that it works with line level loops like the one in my JCA.
I probably won't need more than four presets. I do quite...
Thanks man.
Does the DD-20 have easily switchable presets? That would be idea, I can't imagine I'd be using two types of delay at the same time often.
Do any of them have a reverb/delay function for post rock/ambient stuff?
It's my 18th Birthday in two weeks and for a gift I'm asking for money to improve my pedalboard/rig since I'm now playing with a band reguarly and would like to expand my tonal possibilities.
I'm looking at a Delay, a reverb and possibly another delay. I like the idea of having a digital delay...
I've never played either, but I've never heard anything but great things about the Mills cabs and they tend to attract people who are into heavy, percussive metal, the same cats who buy Framus Cobras so I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. As for speakers, can't help you there.
Good luck on your...

Hey guys.
I've got my Rockschool Grade 8 exam in electric guitar tomorow morning and I need help on two small things in the technical exercises.
I have to play two chord sequences in varying keys, these are.
These need to be pepared in keys G-B (example in G Major)
Am7#5 - D7b5 - D7#5...
I've owned four amps in my five years of playing and honestly.
My peavey 5150 II was the most versetile, it just wasn't what I wanted. The JCA is better, but the peavey was more versatile.
Whoever thinks that a 5150 (especially the II/+) is a one trick pony has obviously never really taken...
There seems to be a lot of talk about this lately, probably a lot to do with Jet City amps.
I wish I'd taken into account that that Blackstar Ht100 (is that the amp you own? I remember it has a switch) had the switch to go between the two settings for line and instrument level.
Not to hijack...
Do you guys think it's worth buying individual parts for the pedal or just buy the kit? Which would end up being cheaper? I know DIY pedal companies have economies of scale on their side, which I don't.
I've decided to build a clone of a Soldano soundman eliminator (Or any other passive attnuator)
Since it's such a simple build, I'm reluctant to pay £25 for a kit, I'd like to see if I could get it cheaper, I may make a 4 or 5 way true bypass looper, the cheap ones cost £80-120, so building...
I've never seen an Orange cab with anything other than V30s, they're great cabs too! Lots of bottom end and great construction. Pricey new though..
It depends on your budget really, 1960Bs can be had pretty cheap, there's loads of them going for £150-200 every day on Ebay pretty much. I'd go...
