I think this amp performs really well at low volumes. It's always going to sound better loud but I use it at all hours without waking anyone. I have been using it lately with 2 v30s and 2 G12h30s and it sounds fantastic. I really like it with a mesa thiele cab as well.

I have to say I enjoyed the new track. I put on a nice set of headphones and cranked the volume a bit. It reminds me of the Lateralus album alot. I'm looking forward to the rest of this one.

My understanding is the red one is only cosmetically different. I have the black ocd pedal and its the same as the white 2.0 ocd as well. The only new production ocd that is supposed to be different is the blue one. That one costs around $200 new.

For what its worth, I have been gigging a Mark V 25 for years with zero complaints. I do always mic it though. I use it with a Mesa Thiele cab and its been great. Good luck on your search, I personally don't think you can go wrong with any choice here.

I really enjoyed my old DSL 50 but it never made me stop and say "damn that sounds good" like the 2525 does. The DSL is probably more versatile but the 2525 really has something special. There are deals out there on them if you're patient. Mine was around $900 shipped from Reverb.

Found an ESP Ouija Kh-2 for $600 at a pawn shop. Sold it years ago. Should have kept that one. Also found a pile of pedals for $10 each at a Las Vegas flea market. I just had my first gig with the 2525h and a V30 1x12. I was really happy with it. I boosted with a tumnus deluxe and a mini tube screamer. By the end of the night I just used the tube screamer as a clean boost. I will have to try the gt-od for sure.

The Mark V 25 is a really cool amp. It killed alot of my gas and I actually sold my Mark III. What cab/speaker are you using with it? Ive had great results with a EV loaded theile cab and a closed back V30 cab. Happy new amp day
