That's the difference between Custom Shop built and USA built. The LP Custom Lites were Gibson USA and not Gibson Custom Shop. If it's built in the Custom Shop it's automatically going to be much higher priced.
It's the same with every guitar company. Look at the price difference between USA...
I personally would just search out for guitars you love playability, feel and looks wise. Changing the stock pickups is kind of minor money wise compared to buying for certain stock pickups.
The Friedman Runt's were a major disappointment for me. When I first heard about them I was hyped up. Friedman tone at a affordable price? I'm not worried about hand wiring or point to point. If it sounds great but cheaper made I'm in. Not so much after I played a few. I was highly...
I guess I'm sad because the guy was brilliant and had so much going for him at the moment. Plus I've been a fan since early on Soundgarden.
Just a shock more than anything. I was so looking forward to new Soundgarden, they were just starting a new tour, with new dates released. He had a...
They are on fire right now live! So tight and Hetfield is spot on vocally. Best they have been in years vocally or tightness wise. It's obvious they are focused and out to prove they still have it, even at their age.
Best live rock show ever IMO, if you have never seen them!
It's definitely a cheaper model Charvel with the nato wood, made in Indonesia, etc.. but for the price it seems pretty solid and looks killer IMO with the matte white finish, black binding and black hardware on the Tele shape. I might go for one here in a while. Kind of putting it off for the...
Anyone?? I'm interested in this Tele shape by Joe and Charvel. My major concern is the Duncan Designed pickups but for the price I can see swapping them out if the guitar is awesome otherwise.
Just seems like a solid rock Charvel otherwise for the style I play. If the Duncan Designed pickups...
Congrats!! I've owned my Hot Rod 25 for over 2 years now and still love it. Just a incredible sounding amp. Amazing at bedroom volumes and amazing at gigging volumes. I've gigged with mine several times and it really can do it all. It does not sound like a 25 watt amp. It hangs with my...
Hell yeah! I think Eddie sounded better with Soldano than anything else. His early tone was revolutionary because it was different and it was Eddie but IMO Eddie never has sounded better than he did in his Soldano years. Just my opinion.
Yeah, I did not like the tone of the mismatch (8 ohm cab into 4 ohm output). I could tell something was off tonally but didn't realize what it was for a while, probably 30-45 minutes of playing under moderate volumes. I think the master and channel volumes were on around 3.
Once I did...
Accidentally plugged my 8 ohm cab into my Mark IV's 4 ohm output. Played for a while like that but could tell something sounded off. It sounded weaker and less aggressive. After a while I realized the issue and corrected it. All seems fine but.....
Any damage from this mismatch?
I've owned many Ltd's over the years but just never gelled with them. To me ESP's just seem to feel, play and sound better so I have seemed to keep the ESP's and sell the Ltd's.
Nothing wrong with Ltd.'s, they just didn't suit me personally.
Whether you will notice a considerable difference...
I've tried and still own a few P50's but I don't really care for them in comparison to V30's. I tried them in several cabs. They didn't sound horrible but they didn't sound great either IMO. V30's kill them IMO.
Maybe check out the Soldano Hot Rod 25 also. I bought it while comparing it side by side with a SLO and Hot Rod 100. It's a killer amp but IMO all Soldanos are. The SLO is great but it's not for everyone, especially since it's sweet spot is glass shattering loud.
