Feel for you but hopefully its a short term thing and its for the positive in your life. I had to pawn a prized guitar that was my first really decent quality guitar way back when my wife and I first got married just to make ends meet. About 10 years later, thru some clever detective work and...
I just joined the club on the 50 watter head a few days ago too. Been going back and forth on one for the last few years. I finally decided to make the jump. Did a straight across trade for my LP Studio deluxe that wasn't getting much love lately. Wifey was pleased that I didn't spend...
Not sure if it was recorded with AxeFx or the usual rigs, but the tone on the Ronnie Rising Medley is ungodly when its cranked. The little break where it starts leading into Kill the King, gets me pumped everytime. Metallica hasn't really put anything out in the last few years that's memorable...
Go for the real deal. There's a ton of other guitars that look like LP's, but they aren't. If you really have your heart set on the Gibson LP, nothing else is going to do it. You'll just end up spending lots of cash chasing it, when you can just get the real deal used for a pretty good price...
I just bought this pot yesterday for my charvel. I like the low friction pots. However you will have to bore it out (volume knob) just a bit to fit the pot. That is if it's the original Charvel volume knob with the gnarly grip on it.
The neck on mine has very little figuring. It's very smooth though and plays so effortlessly. The earlier MIJ ones are sweet. That was my first taste of these things. I've wanted one since 2009. The bang for the buck one these can't be beat.
Charvel and KH2, sterling petrucci hiding in the back. That blue Charvel is sexy. I'd really like another one now. Blue is my first choice if I do pick up another one.
I believe mine is a 2012. I pulled the back plate off to adjust the springs and it's got a date written on the body in pen. I assume that's a born on date???? I believe it has the Duncan Distortions in. I'll have to look at the neck, I haven't had much time with it. I got it in CO last week and...
Congrats. I just picked one up last week in white, w/ black pickguard. Totally in love with this guitar. Killer neck shape on it and sounds beefy. May add the bigger block on the Floyd, but for now, its killing my other guitars.
Lol that's hilarious. You are the person I was thinking posted this. Small world. My neighbor told me you picked those 2 items up yesterday. I really liked that Luke model. I think those sterling models really give the PRS S2 models a run for their money. I was cnsidering getting an S2 cu22...
I tried that exact combination 2 days ago with he Luke and Grandmeister. I really liked the Luke and strongly consider adding one to the fleet. Plus the black sparkle finish matches my truck. I wasn't completely sold on the amp though. I have a tubemeister 36 and a Mark V. The mark v is my holy...
Nice set-up. I'd like to find another Deuce II to go with my Mark V. I had one a few years ago but I just didn't get that amp back then. I totally get it now and like the sound. But for now the Mark V covers it all for me and makes my pants tight in the crotch everytime I plug into it.
I'm a die hard Metallica fan and have been for over 20 years. I grew up listening to them. The first time I heard Am I Evil and Master of Puppets, I was totally blown away by them. I was only a 12 year old kid then but that was the first time i'd ever really heard music that was so aggressive...
I was poking around a pawn shop in Casper WY today and saw this. I know it's a real deal Kramer but is this graffic original? Price seemed ridiculous at $1100.
I've had my mark V for about a month now and I love it. I had 2 mark IV, a triaxis, a stiletto and a recto. Out of them all, this is the one I really bonded with. I've wanted one since they came out and I've bought everything but a V. I loved the sound of the iv but the thing never sounded the...
They're pretty hit or miss. Only a handful I songs of theirs I like. I heard Five finger death punch this morning and thought they just sound like a really diluted form of Pantera. Pantera is one of those bands whose music never sounded dated and to this day still stomps all over anything current.
I have a Jp100d and a Jp6 fully loaded. I actually play the Sterling more than the ebmm. It plays every bit as good in my opinion as the $2000 model. The trem is very stable and holds tune well. It takes some setting up but once it's there, it's very reliable. The neck is very similar to an...
My wife listens to all the pop country music. I can appreciate the artists trying to make a living but it just seems like they are a dime a dozen and nothing seems to have much longevity. I honestly can't think of the last current artist that really struck me and I just had to buy their entire...
