I've owned 2 Carvin basses. Sold the first, and have owned the second for about 2 years now. Completely happy with it, and I wouldn't hesitate making my next guitar purchase from them as well.
Bought mine from someone on this very forum a few years back.. no regrets at all. Rig downsizing or being in a living situation where an amp wasn't feasible are the only reasons I'd ever sell it.
First Boston album
Vai's 'Passion and Warfare'
Machine Head's 'Burn My Eyes'
Fates Warning - Perfect Symmetry
Derek Trucks tones
Govan's tones - Aristocrats debut
These days for me it's more about everything else making the guitars sound huge, rather than just the guitars themselves... if that...
+1 to listening to music that isn't necessarily guitar-centric. Sometimes, just not listening to *anything* can help. For weeks / months at a time.... you might be surprised at what you come up with.
For me personally lately, I've been listening to a good amount of stuff like this...
Sage advice next time someone comments on cap brand.
Hey... wait a minute....
In other news, this amp sounds good. Love the breakup on the clean-ish tone.
Mostly Guitar Pro. If there's no tab available, I'll use something like Transcribe!, which is pretty cool in its own right:

7 studio albums, god knows how many tour dates, while being part of an arguably influential death metal band? Meh.
One rather bad guitar world video? Total outrage.
Gotta love forums some days :)
