Brad closing shop?

Yes I closed the Rhode Island shop. Retail is dead and online is the way of the future. Yes I had to do it sooner than I would of because of the legal issues in Cali. Yes I had to plea to a gun possesion charge because I had a gun with me when they grabbed me which I always had with me when I traveled in California (I'm a Marine not a Hippie). The gear on eBay with no reserve is all just extra gear that I accumulated and don't want to move or store. The good stuff is in storage until I get back from my visit to the spa.

Yes all other outlandish charges are being dropped/dismissed. Yes I have to sit out for a year in California like a bad boy in the corner in school which is stupid but I am a man and will do it without complaining and then I will be right back here same place same dude, same spam lol. Rig-Talk is going nowhere.

This forum as I run it was never meant to be a gathering of the clergy. I let shit go because in real life I don't sweat too much or blush when people swear or tell dirty jokes, I sure wasn't going to do that on the forum. That offended some and made some really like the freewheeling atmosphere here. As I always have said, it isn't for everyone but if you have a sense of humor and are not easily offended you will fit right in on RT.

We are not the blues doctor cork sniffing old lady crowd, we are the Black Sabbath/Metal blue collar crowd for the most part, at least I am.

Thing is sometimes Shit happens, its how you deal with it that defines you. I never said I was an angel but I am not a devil either. For the record I have never had any legal trouble before this in my life and I sure hope I will never again, Sometimes you make a few bad calls and you get caught up in a jackpot. I know who my friends are and I know who they are not. I was never voted most popular, but I also would never fuck anybody over which I never have and if I tell you I will do something I do it. No excuses.

Hell yes. I would hate to come to a forum and tip toe around like I hear about some of the other forums that I dont go to.
Good group of guys here for sure. Where else can you post a Diezel question and have Peter Diezel answer it directly?
So much knowledge here from all the members. Every time I been 'stumped' by anything that I hooked up wrong..computer issues....phone issues....etc..

Yes!!! I have a quote!!!! "Business man, Business decision". I have been part of a corporate structure and helped business owners make decisions that were not popular with the masses but in the end saved a person/family from playing a banjo on the street and asking for change. I commend (not that you need it) you Brad on your decision. I thank you for Rig-Talk and thank you for weathering whatever storm you currently have or will have to endure in the future.

Brick and mortar guitar shops are a thing of the past. There are still a few out there in a zombie state but pretty much dead. Even the stores that pretent to be brick and mortart are really online shops with a facade of walk in retail. Check out the Indoor Storm site. Look at the insane number of guitars and amps on the site. Now, how many do you really think are physically in the building? Last time I went to Indoor Storm when it was in Raleigh, before it "consolidated" with Sound Pure you could tell it was dead.
