Well doesn't that just suck !
I don't know why, but I was under the impression you were going to let Liquid-Foot integrate the tuner when you got the Axe to transmit tuner info.
Guess I am going to have to buy their tuner module now
What foot controller depends on how much you want to spend and what you are using it for. To me the Liquid Foot would give anything a run for the money right now IMO..It is more the the GCP, but you get a lot more interaction with the Axe. You also get updated LED's each preset change that...
What is the big secret ?
Thats the part I don't understand. I have heard family problems and medical problems or both.
I understand that if you have a family member that is dying it would be hard to talk about, but it would take a lot of the flack off him, and people might understand.
Then...
How many people haven't gotten one that had signed up a year ago ?...or I guess more to the point...what is the back log now and how long have people been waiting ?
The reason I ask, is because I tried for years to hook up with Mark to mod amps I have/had, but it just didn't work out. I talked...
I agree, the gate thing can really kill your sound when you roll off the volume.
There is a block called a gate/expander that is footswitchable you can use in conjunction with the front gate, switch it out when you roll down and you get better response than just the front gate cranked.
I tried to do that as well, I asked if an insert option (like a Lexicon MPX G2 uses) could be an option for the next gen Axe-Fx.
I have a Switchbalde and a Hotplate, I have been thinking of a way to work them into the equation, but the bottom line for me so far is...the axe models are so much...
I dont see how you are getting the W/W part of the equation?
The cabling would be like this
Guitar >> Axe_FX input 1 (front or back)>>> Output 2>>>Bogner input>>>Bogner FX Send>>>
Axe Input 2 >>>> Axe Output 1 L>>>>Bogner FX Return Dry mono
\ ..............>>>>Axe OUtput 1 R>>>> Power amp...
It WILL come with a interface with all the converters and secret sauce on the front end.

The new editor has a cool speaker IR feature, just drag and drop into user slots, and as long as you use the editor exclusively you can see what IR's are where.

Of course you need a midi interface to get any of this to work.
Try some of...
I've read some time ago, that you like the PQ3.
You can add the filter before the amp and set it to "peaking" (I think), set the freq., Q, gain and level, and it adds that huge mid hump pushing the front of an amp.
I like it for some things like Night Rangerish tone s...Give it a try YMMV.
Personally I think the cab sims are a farther from being "there" than the power amp sims.
I have a stereo tube power amp, a Marshall and Mesa power section, Marshall 4X12, Splawn 4X12 and 2 Bogner 1X12 cubes and 2 QSC's...the QSC's are sooo close to being there.
.
There is just a little...
Thanks Cliff,
I was, for a while, using a stereo tube power amp feeding 2 Bogner cube 1X12's and my pair of QSC's. It just became more of a pain, so I eliminated the Bogners and now just run through the QSC's.
I still like the tone, it was just a bit livelier with the Bogners added, just not...
A question for Cliff.
I have seen this issue discussed and answered in the general sense of "the stock IR's don't sound like an amp in the room".
Is it possible to make truly believable IR's of in the room speaker cabs ?
I know Jay's IR's are supposed to created to be in this fashion, but I...
