I always wake to tears on my face on this day and dedicate the day listening and playing pantera music.

An unfortunate and senseless loss for sure. One of the greats. R.I.P. Dime!

I miss him :(

I keep a pic of dime in every room of my house.

His inspiration went beyond the guitar for me. Never met him but he seemed like the greatest dude. I always had a smile on my face watching him. Strength beyond strength breakdowns for me all day today. I will never go a day without at least thinking of him. He cant be replaced. R.I.P DIME

Fuck time goes by soooo fast. I remember it like it was yesterday. I actually saw him with Damageplan at numbers in houston about a month before he died. Me and my friends waited by there bus after the show and got there autographs.

Such a fun-loving, positive & inspirational man. What a loss to our world. Whatever video I pull up of him, he was sure to be smiling, laughing and having fun.

I wear my razor blade necklace as a tribute to him daily.

Was fortunate so see Pantera in the 90's in a smaller venue. My God was it loud. Dime's divebomb squeals made the whole venue seem like the world was coming to an end. :-)

RIP - one of the all time greats.

F'ing messed up ppl.

On August 1st 2001 I saw Pantera for the first and only time live.
Me and a friend were standing near the stage after the show with the house lights on.
A roadie came out and was packing Dimes side of the stage up.
He grabbed a handful of spare picks off the mic stand and tossed them out to the lingering fans and they were all scooped up. I missed out.
Then, as he's walking away, he grabs one solitary pick from off Dimes amp head and throws it towards me. It landed at my feet and I picked it up uncontested.

Dime's scratched and worn concert pick from the show...

I jam with Dime daily!!!!

Always with me. Dime was my hero, still is, my walls are plastered with Dime posters from the 90's. Met him in '93 on Vulgar tour in Montreal, had a beer, smoked a fatty and got my Dean signed!!!!!! Will never forget that day. Dont have a pic as no cell phones back then

.

RIP man, see ya soon!!!!!!

Saw him with pantera in '91 at the st. bernards cultural center in New Orleans OPENING for wratchild america. Didn't know who they were at the time and just got floored! They were just fire when they came on. First time I heard primal concrete sledge was in that room live, and was a fan for life.
Getcha pull on fellas!

Replacing the driveshaft in the yellow Firebird.
The flame top cherry burst ML vrs the solid mahogany trans red ML(before they ever got floyded).
The white,24 fret MLF with his name in gold paint on the headstock.
OMG! The Yamaha combo he ran into two Marshall cabs before he got his first Randall!
The loogie wall next to his bed(trust me,everyone stayed away from that side of his bedroom).
The finer points of how to crotch stuff your spandex with a bar towel.
That Charvel with the hot rod flames he won in a compete that was always in the front atrium.
Watching him practice legato runs over and over till his arm cramped.
His first Floyd rose, and the ensuing months of horrible experimental noises.
Twin sisters vodka at the motel pool in Munster TX in the August texas heat.
That same motel rooms destroyed door, cops at 8am,and selling gear to pay for the damages.
Handing out little plastic army men from a bucket as Xmas gifts at school to everyone who walked by.

Thanks for the memories, you scrawny brillo-head.

Put EVH, Randy, Ace, a quart of Crown, and a slab of greasy Texas BBQ in a blender, and you get Dimebag. Miss you brother. You were the greatest.

RIP Dime! You inspired me to play guitar back in the day! :rawk:

Can’t believe it has been that long....wow.

Such an amazing talent taken too soon.

Was a very sad day for all. Awesome player and an all around great guy. Hard to believe it has been that long.

Learned how to do divebombs and stuff thanks to his Young Guitar videos.

I can't believe it's been that long. Not any easier to deal with now than it was then. Just senseless... Tremendous amount of respect for Dime. He changed everything.

15 years ago today Dimebag was ripping it up with Damageplan warming up for Shadow's Fall in Hartford, CT. Badass black tooth grin that night for Dime, I was designated driving which helps with the memory of that night. R.I.P.
