I'm sorry, can someone get me Steve's hand book with his forum rules in it.

I think it started like this......

#1. Steve's always right.
#2. Don't give Steve your opinion unless he asks for it.
#3. Don't post any fusion or experimental music on the forum.
#4. etc...........etc.......

I really like those amps and the way you have them tweaked. You have some serious chops, and I enjoy the clips of your playing. Steve made some valid points that apply regardless of the style, and from reading many of his posts, I know he didn't take the time to listen and comment for the purpose of being an asshole. You did present this as a song. Maybe your intention was for it to be more of a showcase of your playing styles. Either way, it never hurts to at least consider constructive criticism, especially when it is offered by an accomplished musician.
BTW, thanks for giving me the Marshall G.A.S.

Steve summed it up pretty good initially. OP, you responded like a total ass after you came on here soliciting opinions when obviously all you wanted was some form of affirmation. There was nothing about the first vid that resembled a composition in any way. It was obviously a riff/wank/amp tone sampler that you, ultimately, admitted it was later but still had to give Steve shit about criticizing it (constructively and politely) as a composition, which is what you actually asked for.

I thought it was a fair question.

Nice revision of your original post... There was no "I'm working on" before...

Your Rule #2. If everyone is tonguing my sack, this is my new instrumental called "fire breather". If someone doesn't like it, it is just some musical ideas I recorded. If someone calls me on that, I simply edit my original post to say it's a work in progress...

Steve

Well seeing how you're having such a difficult time understanding what's going on, I edit the OP for ya and in doing so I must have broken rule #5. don't edit OP because Steve will figure out what's going on eventually.

I have no problem understanding what is going on and neither does anyone else watching you bury yourself.

Thank you my friend, I appreciate the kind words.

Steve accomplished musician ??
Okay ?
He seems to be more of a forum favorite to some and that's about it.
Hey Mikey - how do you know what I've accomplished as a musician. You don't know me or anything about what I've done in my life. I certainly wouldn't presume to know what you've done as a musician based on casual contact I've had with you on an Internet forum.

I can certainly tell a lot about what type of human being you are based on your behavior in this thread though...

So I gave my opinion and I'm a total ass, why thank you.

I did not give Steve shit about criticizing my recording.

I think you have all your facts mixed up my friend. :)
You said I obviously did not understand different kinds of music like fusion, a ridiculous, defensive, passive aggressive, condescending comment because I gave constructive feedback on what you initially described as your new instrumental. I'd say he was right on in his assessment...

You're an egotistical guitarist that enjoys trashing other guitarist when they give an opinion.

I hope you change your attitude next time someone gives you an opinion.
Pot meet kettle!

Your utter lack of self-awareness is truly extraordinary... Keep going - make yourself look more ridiculous...

Steve

you guys should just fuck and get it over with.

Let's talk tone here for a second....and I don't mean guitar tone.
Regardless of what was said afterward,- "That's Okay, I can tell you don't listen to fusion music or understand much about it", was the precipice this thread fell off of.

If you think that doesn't come off as dickish....I got nothing for ya

Alex, this statement made me laugh more than Steve's BS.

Didn't make me laugh as much as your backtracking, but still pretty funny!
