Last I checked there were a couple Washburn MG USA series on GC online, basically a Jackson Dinky profile from Washburns Custom shop back in the 90s. Grover Jackson designed and oversaw their custom shop. One was 400, the other 600. Nice guitars.

I'm a fan of the ESP stuff, and you can find good condition LTD 1000 level guitars in that range all day long.

I just saw one of these at the Knoxville, TN GC but I don't see it listed online. I think it was $299 and seemed to be in pretty good shape but I didn't play it. It looked just like the one in the photo.

Some good suggestions in here. I may try to save a little more. Found a Carvin ST300 that looked great and I'm kind of interested in FGN guitars.

Otherwise I may just get a PRS SE and call it a day. Need to check one out to see how the necks are. 10" Radius scares me but the Torero is a 14".

Look for a used LTD JH-600 or KH-602. Thank me later.

These seem really nice. Would be a tough choice as I like the JH but have never had a Kahler.

Still looking but I may snag that ST300 I mentioned in the OP. Out of the PRS SE line the Custom 24 looks best to me.

So far it's narrowed down to those two, an Ibanez 1570 or I may actually just finance a custom DC600 from Kiesel.

I am interested in hearing more about the ESP's though if anyone has the knowledge to share? I've seen people say M-II's are garbage and others say LTD's are good.

I just don't know what are the good and bad when it comes to ESP.

Edit: I need to make up my mind and I've narrowed it down. Made a new thread Carvin Vs EsP

The LTD 600 & 1000 series made in Korea are solid, especially at used prices. Unless you get a smoking deal ESPs are generally going to be way over budget.

I personally prefer the Kahler because the strings can be lower, they don't dive into the fret board like with a FR. It also leaves more wood in the guitar. That said I also prefer the slightly wider neck of the KH.

I don't really know anything about them. It's probably a good deal for the money though.
