Rockstah,
your clips sound like you nailed it

I have a peacemaker, it doesn't sound like that , but it sounds amazing as it is

I'll check out your peacemaker modded clip tonight

soooooooo......
what does everyone think....?
was Ediie's amp stock, or modded like this?
the most value I see in the mod is the master volume!

that sounds really great at tv volume!

thanks man!

which one of Edwards amps? contrary to popular belief i believe he used many amps and didn't just have one magic amp.

as well i think he used 100's, 50's both in stock plexi spec as well as master volume amps.

Here is a peacemaker i modifed. - https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9604612

i like the way *you* made it sound, and it's much heavier and more saturated than the stock low gain circuit, but it doesn't seem like the ideal amp for your mods..something sounds off compared to the other mods you did recorded using other amps. doesn't sound as slippery to the touch.

can you dial in aerosmith, led zep, or zz type classic rock tones with your mod 5 amp, or does it sound more like vh tone covering their music?

and do you ever use your own mod 5 amp live for your starship shows or any other projects, or is it specifically a vh tone machine for you and customers wanting that?

i will be in the future covering more tones as i do realize not everyone wants THAT sound.

i never take my amps on the road, commercial airlines would destroy them let alone what i would be paying in bag fees/excess weight fees.

the thing that maybe off from day to day is my playing. its not about the tools but the energy behind them that makes the difference. ;)

thanks,

Mark

ah ... so I was right, it IS the fingers

yeah ,,, maybe....i love the "its all in hands argument" hands..... so food for thought..... i think you would agree i could have my girlfriend play my amp who doesn't play guitar and make it sound like shit.... and there is no way i'm going to get van halen out of a fender twin... my argument is its a balance there of the tools and the hands. yes the tools only matter so much because its the energy behind them but as well you aren't going to win any races with a VW..... i could go on and on. its a balance my friend. ;)

Mark

your modded mojave amps:
I like the peacemaker better than the scorpion
and I think both sound like the real deal, but so does all the other ones you have clips of, I guess the mojave is darker
which I like
yeah killer mod man

incredible sound....i checked out a TON of your amps on the soundclick..not a bad sounding one in the bunch.

that mod 5 though..holy f!

my best bud is a huge VH tone chaser....he'd go nuts over that.

That was nice, chewy, and sizzlin'. Another great job Mark. Your mods capture the whole VH deal where many fail.

Yeah, I love that argument! IMHO anyone who says that tone is in 100% in the hands or 100% in the gear is already Wrong. It's a combination of many things. All IMHO of course.

If your buddy is still chasing that tone after hearing Marks clips then Id have to tell him to hang it up

IMHO, Mark Has the recipe for that sound nailed ;)

dude, totally incredible man. it damn near sounds as if you are just playing the guitar tracks from the original recordings. it is just that good

yeah, what I like about your clips is that the mod doesnt seem to sacrifice the marshall voicing and feel that so many modders loose. is payment for mods or a build do upon completion or is a deposit required? just curious is all

Hey Mark on the VH clips do you have the reverb panned totally right side? Any on the left?
Is it a plate reverb and what are your recommended settings for that?
Also do you have a touch of phase 90 in those clips to make it so spongy sounding? Thanks man
Sorry for all the questions but I'm a Eddie nutcase and you have it nailed.
Killer playing and tones man. I have to get an amp from you dude
