Hell yeah. You just won the clip world.

Does this guy do any original stuff or is he just a cover guy?

Screech, scratch, scritch….and mud. Ahh the sound of the 80’s….

That dude is a great player, but that sounds awful. I wouldn’t touch a 2203/2204 with a ten foot pole based on that demo
From the sound of it, he's not applying any sort of post production whatsoever..

No EQ pulling out the mids, no verb.

Can't speak for Jacob, but I think that may have been the point of the video - to hear what the raw amp sounds like in the hands of a good player.

I’m listening to his album now, great playing but yeah the tones leave a little to be desired

got rid of my 84 today......fuckin kramer and those muddy jb's.....

Great player but I like his tone thru his plexi amps way more. What was he using for the harmony parts?

I’m more impressed with his ability to play that cleanly with a cranked amp and so little gain without anything in front of it pedal wise than I am about the tone he’s copping.

Honestly it sounds very peavey 5150 like. I guess I just prefer modded Marshall’s or boosted ones over stock.

He’s pretty damn amazing.

To be fair, I never “crank” my 800s. Always set them up for a mid gain rock tone with the gain around 6, and then boost. I think his tone shows why ?

I just mod my own junk. The only stock amps I have are my XTC and my GH100S ?

I probably would too if I knew what I was doing. That said, I’m getting addicted to the mid texture the right boost can add to an amp (in addition to the extra gain and tight low end). I almost prefer an amp that needs a boost these days
