Check out this SG !
When I got it, the original humbucker had been replaced with a 3 way pickup - it was a switchable P90/single coil and you could run both together for a humbucker sound. The toggle switch was set up to switch between these 3 positions and the pickgaurd thats still on there is covering up the routing for the tone knob that was removed. The 3 way pickup was fun, but it wasnt as good as a dedicated P90, single coil or humbucker, so I swapped it out for a black winter bridge pup. I primarily play black metal on this thing, so I left the tone knob off and made the 3 way toggle into an on/off kill switch.
This thing fuckin rips. Lotta bark & beef. I don't have many guitars but this one is the standout favorite of the couple I have.
Anybody out there have a similar single pickup SG ? What kind of modifications do y'all make to SGs like this ?
