1x12 recommendations for Synergy

I've got the Synergy 20IR and love it. Right now I have the SLO and Uberschall modules but plan on adding the DRECT and BE-DLX. Which 1x12 cab and speaker would you recommend I pair with this? I was thinking the Mesa cab but the have the straight, slant and thiele.. but was also thinking the Synergy 1x12. I don't know.. what do you all recommend? This will only be used at home.
 
I use my Synergy rig with two 4X12's with Greenbacks. Have been looking for a V30 cab again though just to mix it up. Other than that, I don't know which 1X12's are better than the others.

Once you do pick a 1X12 cab, my suggestion would be to have a few different speakers that you can swap in and out.
 
Out of all the 1x12 Mesa cabs, the Recto standard 1x12 sounds best for high gain under a mic (NOT the Mini Recto cabs).

The Recto standard 1x12 is the cab with the logo in the upper left corner. That's the good one.
The Mini Recto 1x12 cab has the logo in the middle. Those don't sound nearly as good.

So this one... does it sound the best in the room? I'm not worried about mic'd:

When i was downsizing my rig, that is what half thr forum recommended I get. I ended up getting two 1x12s for my setup but that would be q good one.

I don't know much about the synergy cabs but probably are voiced for the synergy rigs so that noght be a good option.

Sorry man I haven't compared the two. I'm mostly interested in what cabs sound like when mic'd so I'm probably not the best guy to ask about in-the-room tones.

I have one Friedman 1x12 with Creamback 65s. It sounds great. I'm looking for another cab about the same size that can be used for Mesa amps. That Thiele might be the ticket. Seems it is better than the standard 1x12 Mesa cabs.

Have you ever swapped speakers in your Friedman? I can't get the back off to do it. That thing is stuck on there good. I've been playing it for a few months with the screws out hoping that would loosen it but nothing yet.

I thought about switching speakers in 1, with maybe a V30 or G12H.

That's the same one @TheGreatGreen recommended. Looks like it is between this one and the Theile.

Any idea the dimensions on these oversized cabs? I can't find them anywhere.. not even Sweetwater.

22 3/4 wide
16 1/2 tall including the feet
13 front to back

My Mark V fits perfect on top of it

Thanks! Not too much bigger than the Thiele.

Since these wide body cabs are listed as Rectifier cabs and your Mark V fits perfect on top.. how does that workout with the speaker only at 60 watts?

What's the difference in sound of the Celestion C90 and the Celestion 30 for anyone with experience with both.

This is very interesting, thanks for the comment! I’m still trying to get the MarkIIC++ Reissue I was promised and I have stereo rig plans for it. These rectifier 1x12s are an option for me for that amp (with SS poweramp runnign the cabs).
