Posting it for the Lynch fans and the following other reasons....

Lynch has an HK, Peavey XXX, and Bogner Uber on the stage

A Genz Benz sig 2x12................

His tone during the solo imo is great, love it. Always been one of my favorite late night speeding songs, esp the solo and his take on this was cool.

ahhhh
had a lot of luvin to this an Through these eyes in the 10th grade..

Sweet. Love the Lynch tone (at least through my small laptop speakers) but not digging Oni...probably because I wore that CD out and am so used to the studio version, which is  .

being a lynch fan, i didnt really like it to be honest. he's holding back to what he's capable of. the rhythm tone is solid and sounds great with that esp (damn ESP gas  ) but on another note it sounds like he's fighting his tone on the solo. its lynch... but something isnt right.

I agree he is fighting the amp some and he is missing some sustain.

Why my number one question after listening to the clip is "how is the feel?" if I have not played the amp :)

i agree. i ran into problems with that myself when i started fiddling with preamp designs.

that is one thng my signature series preamp that im building will have, is that feeling and balance with the amplifier without being out of control or so weak you make an excellent guitarist like lynch sound like that.

thats why i have always felt tone is a 50/50 mix. we all know lynch can play, but that clip is brutal compared to other his other live recordings with the lynch box, soldanos, rack'ed setups, etc.

Agreed not the best he has done, I think part is that he was staying within what the amp can do for him......whatever one he is plugged into   My favorite Lynch tones have always been his plexi tones and due to his aggression his Randall days years ago.

Content wise I really enjoyed the opening and always thought that the solo section was a great slow platform to scream on.

Lynch is best when he is using plexi or SLO imo. But yeah this tune is great!

Also, Lynch sounds better without that stupid Phaser going all the time.

I love Lynch but he just didn't seem there to me. I saw him at NAMM a few times and felt the same way. Too much echo and just not the Lynch from Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key etc..
