2010 LA Amp Fest, Saturday December 11th.

So some people are able to view the vids and some it's staggering. I went home to cut the videos in half in Final Cut and re-bounce and re-upload and I got home and the internet is down. This has been an unbelievable experience. Everything that can go wrong has, it's made me sick inside but it's because the videos are so cool that the evil forces in the world don't want you guys watching them. You guys are going to die when you watch the Mod Squad, just about every mod guy worshipped around here's amps are on hand and many of the guys are here dialing in their own amps. Incredible and never done before anywhere. Anyway, I'm at an internet cafe' typing this. I started choppong the first video in half and it is bouncing in Final Cut now. Time Warner says I should be up in 2 hours. The other thing that is killing me is there's no phone tech support for youtube, I'm having so many troubles and getting zero help. UGGGGG! The saga continues.... Hang in there guys, should be up tomorrow.
 
James, no worries man- you've gone and are going above & beyond to do this! Thanks so much- can't wait to see the final product- as if my amp GAS isn't bad enough already! Anybody got a spare $50k or so lying around so I can get a few new amps???

James, I have said it before and I will say it again, YOU ARE THE MAN!!, this was a massive undertaking and as usual you are were the right man for the job!! I have already watched the other videos, and cant wait for the others to come out, as I know they will be superb. All that being said I guess the cat is out of the bag on the Super 78, I have been wanting one of those since I went to the Nasville amp show and heard one, and then stumbled across the Greg V video, used will be out of the question after your video! I noticed its still on your rack, did you buy it or just hanging on to it for a few days??

I can see a bunch of rig-talkers prepping the throne right now for the first viewing experience

Premium TP...check
I-phone/Droid docking station w/speaker....check
makeshift laptop stand......check
backup headphones........check
baby wipes....flushable.....check


of course if you really want us to crap ourselves put a fake chinese dub and the sound of sitars and asian stringed instruments everytime someone is ripping on an amp :lol: :LOL:

Well, it's working! I cut all the videos in half, so there all around 13 minutes and lowered the video resolution a bit, still looks the same to me but kept the audio resolution the highest. I will be done in the morning and everything will be posted; 8 videos and 85 audio clips. You guys are going to die when you check this out, we took this to a level that is unprecedented and we did it together. Nobody has ever done anything to touch this, not even close. You have a studio full of some the greatest amp designers and mod guys on planet earth dialing in amps, drinking and telling lies...lol Incredible party. This is my Christmas present to all of you.

Thanks James, you and your whole crew worked your asses off.....what a GREAT time :D . I hope people appreciate how much effort actually went into putting this together :thumbsup:
 



I had my Q3 in the room this amp was mine, so I cut just this amp
however I have more from inside the loud room and a bunch outside.

just a teaser DARK Q3 vid, the mics are in the camera that why I point it
at the cab from time to time.

just listened to some on my earbuds via iPhone and I love the wizard
Modern classic.

the quality sounds great too. I've never been fond of the mindset that you should take a close mic 57 panned center/mono to be an accurate depiction of an amp. its so congested that way. sounds like a nice open image you captured.
 
I couldnt take anymore crunch after the third video...the Wizard , the ugly 18, bogner 45 did it for me. The South Bay Plexi sounded cool too.
 
In Part 2 I liked all of them but I'd drop the money on the Marsha or Lynch's SLO which was probably one of the best sounding SLO's I've heard. All those designers should pat themselves on the backs because those are top notch tones.
