Update:

Ola Englund hit me up and said the tracks and DIs are done and I will have them next week. Bruce Bouillet just messaged me and said he's working on a shred DI this weekend and will have it next week too. It's all coming together. Very exciting. Working on dialing everything in on my end. This will rock!

This sounds wicked cool. So are Bruce and Andy coming or just sending DI's?

Updated list. 3 Monkeys Amps are on board and bringing some stuff.

Greg and Ossie are great to hang out and chat with....good times!! That's awesome! I wanna hear an Orangutang again!!! It was my go to amp whenever I would roll into Fatsound!! I will be grabbing one someday when I have the means

Can't wait for this to happen. It's going to decide my next amp (if not all the amps I purchase for years to come   ). Really wish I lived close enough to attend. Not to be a PITA, but I'm still hoping a 5150III makes it in so I can compare :D

Added to the list:

3 Monkeys Grease Monkey II
3 Monkeys Sock Monkey 18
Divided by 13 SJT37
Divided by 13 SJT 10/20
Morgan RCA 35
Matchless Lightning Reverb
Gibson GA 15RV
Bad Cat Alley Cat
Phaez Amps (not sure what model yet)

Prepping tracks of Ola Englund and Bruce Bouillet for the upcoming Amp Fest. Those guys did a great job. Also prepping the track for my band Beautiful Distraction's contribution to the Fest. Thanks everyone. Next is Andy Wood and Todd Stricklin's tracks.

It's coming together, I'm dialing in the last of the stuff for amp fest. I'm really enjoying putting this on, should be awesome.

Hey James

You have a hard fast guest list yet...as in how many will truly be there?? From the list of amps its looking like we are going to be there a while...so it will be a bbq and redbull kind of day :D

Probably 15 people or so.

The Fest is next weekend. A lot preparation has taken place and we are just about ready to rock. I have tracks in and ready to record from Bruce Bouillet and Ola Englund. Andy Wood's tracks will be here Tuesday. Todd and his band are driving in on Friday the 6th with a truck full of amps! So I know a bunch of people are bringing or sending amps. The sooner I can get them the better, it'll give me a chance to do a little recording with them and get a feel for what works for them. So get them to me as soon as possible, if you're bring them up for the event then no worries I will just see them on Saturday.

Amps and guitars are starting to come in:

Amps comin in for the amp fest. David Friedman Pink Taco, Brad first run Cameron CCV and a hand wired Suhr 100. Awesomeness. They all sound great. Was shocked how the PT Kicked ass next to those to big guys.

A Luxxtone Machete 22. Man that guitar is incredible.

Looks like fun! How did the Creamback/V30 combo work in the Avatar cabinet?

Great. The CB75's are very thick and chewy and they were a little to dense for my taste for recording. The v30s added just enough shittyness to mack the cab bang when tracked. Much better. V30s are amazing for recording imo.

Man, I absolutely LOVE that Luxxtone.

Yeah I played it last night. Really nice. Sounded awesome with the Suhr.

Thanks! Any issues with the Avatar cab itself? I have been looking at getting a 4x12 and Avatar has their 4x12 Vintage with 4 Creambacks for $688 shipped. Seems like a great deal.

I like Avatar cabs.

Well the amp fest is only a few days away and we are feverishly working over here to make it the best we can. Andy Wood's tracks are coming in today, very excited. I will set them up when they get here. Started to organize and tag all the amps. We have 15 here now and about another 20 en route. It's gonna be cool!
