Not to sound like that guy, but by the specs alone, it seems as if its going to be another over compressed blah blah blah.

Seems as if everyone else makes an EVH style amp better than evh does ?

Assuming this will run in the mid 2k to upper range based on the msrp shown.

This is kinda old news but I agree ... The description sounds to me like they went in the wrong direction with this amp.

I mean why not take the tone of the original EVH blue channel and improve on that and go for a more open and natural type of tone... The Stealth version with 6L6s already is an over the top version of the original with more compression and saturation and now this amp has even more than that ? Makes no sense to me.

Redundant. If this was more of a take on his old tone, it would sell in spades. It will probably still sell tons so from their standpoint, it doesn't matter. I just have zero use for that much gain.

I feel if they woulda made it look like an older plexi with the EVH logo it woulda sold like hot cakes. Gas would be flying.

$540 bucks for a retube ....lol.

Most likely being the price and amount of tubes in that thing.

At the rate they're going, in 10 years the design of the 5155 will have 6 power and 10 pre's in it, will be 4ft wide and will weigh 110 pounds.

And yes on the old style plexi design. Once again, if Marshall could've done a one off EVH tribute amp..

Imo, the YJM was the best tribute amp or whatever you want to call it, that they ever did. The KK was good as well.
