6L6 in the VH4

Was rolling some tubes and even tried a quad of Wing C EL34's
(The KT77's went back in)
But has anyone ever popped in a quad of 6L6's .
Thought?

My preference for sure . It just something I like . I prefer all 6l6s in my Herberts as well. Make all frequencies solid in a Diezel .IMO

I can say that those new TAD 6L6GCM-STR Redbase sound fanstastic in my VHX and Herbert Mk3. They offer a very even and clear frequency response.

I was going to go cheaper with a matched quad of JJ 6L6's ,but for another $50.00 I figured go for the TAD's

I haven't had the oportinity to try the TAD's yet .
6L6 are my favorite type in the amp and JJ 6L6 is my favorite tube in the VH4 so far.
Nice combination of definition and warmth.

I've only tried the Ruby 6L6GCMSTR and can vouch for them working really nice in the VH4
