7 String BKP Riff Raff

Anybody have experience with the 7 string version of this pickup?

I wanted to try something lower output in my Jackson and I also got a Blue Note for the neck.

I hope to have them installed this weekend and will post some clips.

The 6 version is the only BKP that I liked. Should hold together well in a 7 under gain. Just get ready to adjust your presence. They are a bright pup IMO.

Yeah it’s got lots of mid and highs. Also high strings seem to be more pronounced which is nice on 7 string to keep a better balance when playing chords. Pretty useless for clean but I always do clean on neck pickup which I found the Blue Note to sound amazing. Riff Raff makes the gain range on my DSL more usable.

I've got the 6-string version, too. If the 7-string version is anything like it, mine's really sensitive to height adjustments, more so than most. That really helped me dial it in. Just thought I'd mention it, it was a little unexpected for me, so might be worth playing around with.

went with much heavier strings than I need on this. New tuners and a nice setup should be happening very soon. This thing doesn't stay in tune one minute to the next lol.
