Oh and congrats Steve! That thing looks bitchin'. The Wildwest ones slightly miss the mark with their matching headstocks IMO. So few of the originals had that. I think Tommy from The Music Zoo and some other guy that is a dealer are the only ones who really "get" what "Charvel" means.

Curt, I gotta tell ya - I have found the ULTIMATE PAF clones from OX4 pickups in UK. That is what is in this R9 now and I have to tell you, I want to replace all the pickups in my guitar with these. They are low output PAF clones, but for some reason, there is NOTHING missing when you want the gainer sounds out of my amp. I'm absolutely blown away by these pickups and as a guy who loves low output pickups like you do, you have GOT to try them. As you know, I've been really stuck on the higher output Super Ds for some time now, but these pickups sound unbelievable. So much clarity and I don't feel like I'm struggling for more sustain with my amp, even though these pickups are 50% or more lower output than the Super Ds. I get everything from early Zep to 80s hard rock with this guitar and these pickups and I didn't like the higher gain Bare Knuckle Rebel Yells that were in it when I got it…
