A GB in a 50w 1x12 Combo?

I'm lining up a trade for a Stiletto Ace 1x12 combo, but it has a Greenback in it. The guy is trying to say that the speaker is an upgrade. It's a 25w speaker in a 50w combo. I have a Mesa V30 laying around that will solve this issue really quick. Why would someone do that though? I would rather have the V30 than the GB with that amp anyways, ratings aside.

It would probably be fine for awhile at noon (volume). But I have never thought it worth the risk. I think they came out with the creamback 65 for this very scenario

The guy is talking it up by saying it's loud. It keeps up with his buddy's JVM and 4x12. I'm going to bring my DMM and make sure that speaker is still alive.

I don't see a problem unless you crank the shit out of it. My brother's had a Greenback in his 40 watt Iconic for 2 years. The Mesa may have more muscle, but I wouldn't sweat it.
