Thanks man... trying to play consistently but I've got more going on right now than I think I ever have and it's thrashing me. No pun intended.

I didn't engineer this one. The guy that did is I believe, mostly a DM type guy and wanted a wall of guitars, which is different than what I would have done because I prefer more distinct tones, so to speak. Long story but there were two guitar tracking sessions and they were handled differently. In the first session the other player (Scott) used a VH4 and a Triple Rectifier and I played through the Deliverance 60 and VH4. Both amps were boosted too. The second session where we really only recorded the 3 new tunes Scott played through an UL and I played through the D60, both boosted. I liked the tones from the second session better, plus the simpler approach is more my style. The engineer also did some things taking impulses and adding even more tracks.

While I do think the rhythm guitars sound good and FAT, I also think they're fairly indistinct as far as being able to identify any given amp. But it's all a matter of taste because they do sound good.

Wow, every one of those amps I'm a fan of that must have been fun.

That opening guitar tone sounded like Dead Kennedys to me, which I think is pretty cool. Yep, sounded like good old thrash after that.

Yeah, I like them all too but like I said, would rather have had either just the two Fryette's or the D60 and the VH4, with each of us using only a single amp OR with me using the D60 and Scott using the VH4/Recto combination. I just think it gets to be too much when it's all mixed together like that.
