As much as I dotn like the high fees it is just too convienent and easy to buy/sell.
So I suck it up and grumble....but that about the extent of it from me.

Good thing you got past the high-gain amp gas with the purchase of the herbie...right?
Yeah no more GAS for amps....
but the damage has been done. Thru the years Paypal and Ebay has gotten thousands of dollars from me!

Oh well......get what you pay for. ;)
they provided a service.....
and I complain as I pay their bill! :D

If they had buyers protection that really protected their clients, it might be worth it, but as we all learned a year ago over on the MTS forum, paypal does jack shit. RIPSTUDIOS, I hope ya get all ya got coming.

I am still out $325 from that bullshit! :gethim:

Oh well.....such is life and paypal is worthless on claims.

 Why should you use their services and not expect to pay them? If you are concerned with the fee, just use e-check. The fee is capped at $5.

Fuck PayPal. I'll try to get them for every dollar I can to try to make up for as many dollars they've screwed out of everyone else. How much interest do you think they make off your "4%" while they hold onto your sales money for 21 days after you've sold stuff? :gethim: doesn't seem like much until you count the hundreds of millions of dollars they're holding onto at any given time that doesn't belong to them. Plus, PayPal and eBay are the same thing but they charge you twice, once for eBay and once for PayPal  One raping must not be good enough I guess :dunno:

As much as I don't like ebay and Paypal, they work well. When I list on ebay, stuff sells 90% of the time. I always start with the forums and had generally good luck. Paypal is convienent, I just wish the buyer got passed the fees not the seller. I know that credit cards charge fees for the seller, so this is where paypal got their model.

I don't know men, the fees don't bother me and it really is a convenience compared to money orders and cashiers checks and long waits. Who the hell would buy a blood splattered home-ade Musikraft guitar from the classified ads in a small town local newspaper? Better yet, who would buy a blood splattered home-ade Musikraft guitar period?
Apparently no one.

Steve

yours is a good one though, that one would definitely sell in a local small town newspaper classified ad.
Absolutely!

Steve
