A sober assessment from Douglas Macgregor

I've watched this guy talk about the Russia/Ukraine situation and my take away was that he is a complete retard.
 
I think he was one of the guys saying that Russia would completely destroy Ukraine within a couple weeks when the war began in earnest. He is a Russian cheerleader, saying crap like the military equipment the US is providing to Ukraine (Bradleys, soon Abrams, F16s, etc) is completely outclassed by the Russian counterparts.
I'm not a fan of either Ukraine or Russia ftw and don't care what happens there. I think that mess was 90% created by the US State dept/Obama cabal.

Yeah he was wrong about the timeline, but as he points out, the US politicians will never admit defeat, they will just leave, like they do in every war. There is obviously political motivation to not acknowledge one is losing. He’s not the only one that believes Russias military is better equipped than the US. I wouldn’t discount his views, he was a Colonel after all. Do you think Ukraine is winning the war, and if so, why?
 
I think all Russia has to do to "win" this war is to keep the land they have already established forces in. It looks like it's fairly stable right now. This entire war is about the energy resources in Ukraine, and the vast majority of those are located in the ethnic Russian areas and off the coast of Crimea. The US State Dept (Obama, Nuland, Neolibs/globalists whatever you want to call them) decided they wanted to take a play from the Neocon playbook and exploit another countries resources by fomenting a civil war there and then swooping in to put in their own puppets, people, corporations. They needed to do so in order to effectively genocide or ethnically cleanse that area of Ukraine since it is mostly Russians living there.
Those fucks are in so deep with their bullshit at this point they are going to go full gas and I think there will be an escalation of the war there when Ukraine gets their F16s.

Russian equipment is absolute garbage. The Russian military is absolute garbage. The only time you see US military figures talking about how good Russian and Chinese stuff is, it's to get more money for MIC, or to be cheerleaders like Macgregor who gets paid by RT. Every time you see some article about how something like an F22 or F35 was beaten in a war game, is to get more money for MIC. Close to 1 trillion dollars in tax money for 50 years gets you pretty far...nothing is in the same galaxy as the US military.
 
I dunno man, I think the war is about hurting Russia, not Ukrainian resources. I haven’t ever heard that suggested, but if you have info I’ll take a look. As for equipment, I’ll take a look as well, but that’s not my impression or something I know anything about. I doubt Macgregor gets paid much if anything for appearing on RT, and I don’t make less of it than if he went on CNN. It’s just a platform.
