A visit to Bad Steben

Well, every now and then some really well known (and cool) musicians spend a visit to the Diezel manufacturing site in Bad Steben.



Last weekend Dave Meniketti of Y&T came over to try some of the new amps. Currently (Peter may correct me) he's using VH4s and Herberts along with rearloaded 4x12".

When Peter told me about it, I've asked him to ask Dave for an autograph. I'm a bit of a fan for years now . . . and Dave was so nice to sign my personal Hagen, which arrived today (well, somebody finally has to take some good pics for the website and finalize the manuals . . . ).

Hi Stephen,

you must imagine Bad Steben to be a small, typical (bavarian) franconian village with its center, a casino. Peter's lab is located quite in the middle of the town, surrounded by older houses and a pedestrians raod with smaller bars and restaurants all around Peter's house. What you can see is a collection of houses at the ped. road, on top the appartments and not visible the bars and restos.
Opposite to where the guys are standing is the infamous Bad Steben Pizzeria "Da Carmelo", Peter's main kitchen as to speak - lol - where (I'm sure about it) this world's rock stars when staying in Bad Steben are getting their food and of course some beers

Man, I really miss living in Germany. The beautiful medieval houses/buildings, all the restaurants and especially the bakeries! Ever been inside a German bakery at 7:00 in the morning? The smell and amazing variety of breads, pastries and cakes? That's what I do every morning when I visit. Nothing even remotely like it over here ;-(
Good new is, I am going to Germany next week and my heart is jumping mad !

I ate at that restaurant with Peter and his Wife... needless to say they are a class act bunch of guys over there, and the food and beer was delicious!!! I hope to make my way out there when I get back to Germany in a month... but Im sure Peter is too busy getting prepared for his little bundle of joy that should be arriving any month now... right Peter? Cant wait to see the little guy or gal!

Im happy about your baby boy, how far along is Sawaki in her pregnancy? Best wishes to you and her and the little one on his way!!! Cant wait to hear those little footsteps runnin round the shop someday soon!
