Hey guys check this out!

The new “MP-1-CHANNEL” pedal from ADA delivers the renowned tone of our rack-mount MP-1 guitar preamp in a small stomp box enclosure. The ground-breaking MP-1 preamp was the rack-mount staple for a long list of touring bands in the late 80s and early 90s. Paul Gilbert, Kirk Hammett, Vito Bratta, Jamie Glaser, Bill Connors, Wayne Johnson, Dave Mason, Bruce Bouillet, Vernon Reid, Steve Bertek – just to name a few – created their unique tone with the MP-1. The new MP-1-CHANNEL lets you dial-in crystal clear clean tones, bluesy overdrives, sweet lead distortion to searing high-gains with sustain or bite. “British-boost” the mids or suck them out with the wide- range ADA tone stack. Use the OD-1 and OD-2 to create even and odd harmonic distortion or crank them up to get today’s super high-gain and full-saturation for both bass and treble grind.
The MP-1-CHANNEL’s gain, voicing and tone stacks are the same design as the original MP-1, and we’ve added a True Bypass foot switch for seamless integration into your pedal board. Of course, the internal voltages are also the same as the original MP-1with 280 volts on the 12AX7 tubes.

The MP-1-CHANNEL is housed in a heavy-duty steel enclosure and measures 5.4” length by 5” width by 1.8” height – a small box with a lot of gain, character and pedigree. Included is a 12VDC AC adapter suitable for any AC power source from 100 volts to 250 volts. You can also use your pedal board power supply, if it can provide 12VDC with at least 700mA.

The MP-1-CHANNEL is available now. You can find the MP-1-CHANNEL at ADA dealers for $399.95.

Wow that's pretty cool. Need a Furman PQ3 in a pedal and we're off.

Cool. I might think about buying one for about $250 bucks. If my mp-1 quits working...

at that price i would just grab a modded rack mount MP-1
This...or an unmodded one for about 1/2 that price

Where is the release for the product? I checked the ADA page and nothing. So to be clear, it has two 12AX7's or has voltage "like" the "original" that "was" supplied to two 12AX7's?

Wow...loved my MP1 back in the day however that seems expensive!

I know, but advertising can be misleading.. it can say that on the casing but have Dual 12AX7 (technology) written somewhere in the manual. If tube driven, could be interesting. Not a horrible price point. Street price might be under 300$ without the durability issues of the original pedals.

The press release will be out soon and info posted on the site =)

+1. That's about $125 more than the full on rack unit. Nice to see someone trying to resurrect these guys but given the used market on those; that is a bitter pill to expect people to swallow.

And a word on modded MP-1s: F*CK modded MP-1s. The only mod the MP-1 needs is a noise mod. I was a huge MP-1 geek for years and TBH, the OG unit is the real deal. The 3TM completely wrecked my fave unit. The other ones 3.666 and the other one, I forget the name Mod4 or something both completely morphed the voicing to the point where you might as well get a different preamp if that's what you want.

The original stock unit is pure 80s hot rod in a box. Sh*t now I am getting the urge to go on eBay.

I will be following these.. seems like a lot of unecessary circuitry has been removed from the unit which is a plus given that there are just as many accounts of these things having issues as there are workable units. Might be cool to have this going into the power section of my 2204. Always loved the tones the 80's guys got out of these. Vitto Bratta and Nuno. Such awesome recorded tone.

and you would have a rack MP1  Id think if you were looking for something pedal based a rack unit would have a tough time fitting on a pedal board.
