adapting an EMG kit

Hi,

I am looking to put an EMG SL20 kit (HSS) in my OLP Luke (musicman Luke copy). I only find the EMG SL20 kit, wich is the 3 pickups prewired on a strat pickguard with a small electronic board wich holds the preamp as well as the 2 pots (vol & tone). I will have to desolder the pots because it's strat spaced an not musicman fit. Does anyone already did this?
