We are working on some new things for Cameron Amplifiers in 2012 that are pretty exciting. While the Cameron CCV remains the flagship channel switching amp we have some cool additions to the line.

First thing is a custom Cameron Power Attenuator that Mark designed from the ground up that rivals the Faustine Phantom in sound quality.

I played the prototype through my Marshall Plexi and was amazed at how it did not pad or alter the signal.

Pricing on the attenuator is still being sorted but it will be affordable and we think will be a game changer for the attenuator market.

Next is something I wanted to do since I acquired the company and I am super excited about this!

Everyone loves Mark Camerons Marshall Mods and I get emails daily asking if they can send their Marshalls in to be modded. We always say Mark does not do modifications any longer which is true.

So....

We are going to introduce two new ground up Cameron Mod Amps built with the finest components and Marks two most popular Marshall Mods.

Cameron High Gain Jose Amp

and

Cameron "Old Bitch" Amp note: we changed the name of this amp from a famous guitarist last name it was designed for until we can get permission from him to use his name.

Both Amps will be single channel tone machines and will feature a FX loop. According to Mark totally different circuits on these two amps. Both the creamy high gain monsters he is known for but with different feels.

The HG Jose is 1980's metal time machine.

The Old Bitch is a bit more aggressive with a touch more gain and a bit more modern sounding

They are different enough flavors to own both but two wings on the same High Gain bird.

So if you loved Marks Marshall mods this is your chance to get a brand new ground up build with the best components and a warranty.

The target price for these amps are $2500 + $85 shipping. $1250 deposit and $1250 + $85 when shipping.

We hope to be able to display both of these amps and the new attenuator in a few months at NAMM2012.

I will post here when we open up the pre ordering on these Cameron "mod" series amplifiers.

Interesting. For someone who has never seen or heard a Cameron(-modded) amp, how does the CCV fit in with these HG Jose and Aldrich mods? Is there a chronological order based on heaviness or how modern the gain structures sound?

screw the marshall mod's i want to hear more about this attenuator that rivals the faustine phantom

Holy s**t. This is what I have been waiting for. Count me in on the first Aldrich run.

The bottom is going to drop out of the used Cameron modded Marshalls market I believe.

(we) Myself, Rob and Mark Cameron are collaborating with two of the best amp guys in the world, Dave Friedman and George Metropolois from Metro Amps to build these Cameron Mod amps to the highest quality and tone. They are gonna rule.

Any chance of ever seeing a sub $1,000 Cameron line similar to what Soldano did with the Jet City amps?

I doubt it. It seems the Cameron mods have settled in around $2,000. If anything the prices will go back up.

Exactly considering that all of Mark's modded Marshall's are all a little different, some are multi channel some are not including the Aldrich's.

I do look forward to hearing these new single channel ones, I had a single channel Aldrich and that thing was killer, you rolled the volume knob down and it cleaned up real nice so there was no need for a clean channel.

Damn!!!

Some exciting stuff! Congrats Brad, this endeavor has proven to be a success. I and everyone else really owe you a huge "thank you!"
(and of course to Rob, Dave, Mark, and everyone else involved as well)
