If you enjoy it get the brand new remaster
Listen to track 1 the original mix from 1973
Then go to track 1 of the 2026 mix
My god I’ve never a remix sound so good and this much drastically huge and full
There’s there not only low end but a full glorious huge low end . Guitars are way bigger . More bands need to this . You get both mixes so why not
But wow

I wish the early Kiss albums were remastered
that's part of their nostalgic charm tho'

I think if I heard those remastered, it would sound wrong to me.

that's (and Paul Kossoff, Blackmore,...) also the first Marshall sound that comes to my mind when I think of Marshall tone. Well, Hendrix too, but IIRC he nearly always had a fuzz on, so it wasn't guitar direct into Marshall amp...

I get that, just have the remastered version and standard mix on the same CD.

I think if you remastered them they would lose that New York Punk Vibe some of the stuff had .... that downtown New York greasiness ...

I also consider them my first " Marshall Tone reference "

Yeah I ordered that one too man. Fucking really great. On my setup which is a musical fidelity x-ray V3, musical fidelity x-10 v3 buffer, dbx 215 EQ, BBE 482i sonic maximizer, with a tube Dark Voice headphone amp into some Sennheiser 660 S2 headphones. The sound was so remarkable that I even wrote something to the Aerosmith marketing department, I guess, saying all the differences I heard and how great it was. I never do that

I had that first record since '76 and bought the CD later as well. I knew every nuance.

* After hearing that they won't do the second record or any of the other ones after that there would be no difference they got the sound they wanted on those other albums and probably like people are referencing Kiss, that would be the same as well

They recorded 70s albums at Electric Lady studios starting with Dressed to Kill, and their '73 demos with Eddie Kramer not long after Hendrix's passing.

As long as they don’t go and Mustaine it or do a similar abomination like the ZZ Top six Pack remixes.
But really, as long as they always offer the OG on the same release though, they can try what they like.

I’ve never heard a remix this good ever
The low end is Metallica big . I was like what in the fuck this is crazy
The original mix sounds like AM radio after the new mix

The Megadeth ones were the worse thing ever

The ZZ top remaster, was absolute shit. It's hard to believe that Billy approved that one. For some reason I didn't see six-pack, whoever "remastered" 6 records. Is that right?

It took me a minute to track down the original version of Tres Hombres on CD.
Fucking killer, still listen to it from time to time for sure

.

Yeah, this remix sounds incredible. Hope they keep the same wiz behind the board for Get Your Wings and the rest of them

Pantera reinventing the steel was this way for me. The Terry Date mix/remaster really brought it alive

The only wiz my brother is Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.
Like I said, I bought this thing. It's got all the info in there and all the old pictures during those times it's amazing, definitely worth the money, I mean, come on
And if you guys have only heard like one song. You got to hear the rest of 'em

Really, ok I see -
The original 2000 Reinventing the Steel CD was produced by Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, with Sterling Winfield as co-producer/engineer, and mixed by Sterling Winfield, Dimebag Darrell, and Vinnie Paul (mastered by Howie Weinberg at Masterdisk, New York)

Makes sense Terry Date could straighten that shit out. Too bad Dime wasn't around to hear it

I can see how some would see this Aerosmith as wrong . It’s sounds like it was recorded yesterday now 1973 . The thickness . I did a double take and kept going back and forth between both mixes , like wow . This is some impressive tech they worked with
