Take me to school on these... Have a guitar player coming in, can play just doesn't have much gear and the parts he's doing happens to be more effects based than mine. I came up with a list of effects he'd need, probably can get away with not having some of these but even using all cheaper Boss or Tone City it'll come out to about $400, and he still needs amps and I want him to get a better guitar

Anyway, as much fun as a bunch of pedals are, what are some nice, cheaper, multi FX units I can look into? Preferably I'd like the amp and the dirt being analog, so it doesn't need to have super nice amp sims, but what's something that a dirt can go into and have multiple patches featuring a couple different delays, a chorus, phaser, trem, verb, etc. Nothing crazy, but can handle maybe a delay, phaser and chorus together.

The Zoom G3 was looking promising for what he needs but do these units differ in regards to how well it gets fed a dirt or boost before it?

Boss se 50
Is old
It's cheap most alittle noisey.
Put it in the loop make sure you have a gate and enjoy lol
Haven't heard one in years but Was just talking about it with a friend and I've seen them as cheap as 50 bucks.

Boss gt8, 10 or 100 in 4cm will be affordable and not only do everything well but sound good too. They're very underrated.

Line 6 M13 , you could run 4CM with it putting dirt and wah before your amp and delays and modulation in the loop and it has midi.

Intellifex? I feel they are very good, and used around 100-150. Quiet, and transparent.

Edit: not sure about phaser, trem..I use chorus, delay and reverb with mine.
