The data models that some scientists have been using weren't Y2K compliant - so when you go to calculating data before or after Y2K, it skewed the results.

My sources are telling me that
a) the website who spread this "news" into the world is run by a doubtful (right wing ?) company, which just really is a letter box.
b) on Gore's website is a statement about it - and what forms/kinds of energy he's using.

The information was taken from CNN and the bills were posted, I could see some crap slinging from the haters but the bills were real.

I do respect his concerns and I do my part to help by recycling, low wattage light bulbs, etc but Gore throughout the years just has not impressed me as he had to pay $$$$$$$$ to a firm to give him a personality during his run for Prez

Al Gore is a colossal asshat, I dont want him in office anymore than I want the current asshat in there, they both suck long and hard..

I dont know if Global warming is real or fake and quite frankly , I dont care. I dont care that Gore is a hypocrite. What I do care about is that we are really fucking up our Mother Earth, this is an undeniable incotravertable fact.

If Gore or this Movie, influences people to think and be proactive about what we are doing to our planet, Than my opinion is that its a whole lotta good. the cuurrent mindset of worry about it later or let future generations deal with the problem is beyond sad..

I am in no way a tree hugger but we have done terrible things to the environment that desperatley need correcting and The big business of dumping and corprate pandering needs to be dealt with ASAP.

Gore is still a Jagoff but all of failings aside, if something like this acts as a catalyst and promotes action, then I cant knock him on that....

I don't disagree with cleaning up our act and regulation pollutions and emissions but it does appear that Al Gore is carefully picking out what he believes are facts. I conducted a joint study with a professor from Princeton University based on a computer model and we found a spike in temperatures in the atmosphere right around 1969. Our computer used sophisticated technologies to attain this information and we traced the source of this temperature spike to Manhatten with a shift in temperature location to NJ in 1973.

I think it's worth repeating that you just have to believe all the grant money in the world is available to anyone who can produce credible (or hell, not so credible haha) evidence to contradict the global warming theory. Oil companies alone would gladly shell out billions to quiet this growing concern about emissions.

The argument that our scientist are supporting global warming for the money just seems unbelievable to me. I think the question is not are we hurting our environment but how much and what is the end result of our damage. To deny the fact that we are contributing to global warming is not held by very many credible scientist at all.

Bush has appointed two just like Clnton did. Actually Bush Sr appointed a judge that pissed off many conservatives so Im thinking there isnt a majority but I tihnk they are just like all parts of governments in this world and can be conterolled by money and power.
