Since a lot of you guys on this board seem to enjoy my clips/songs, I figured I'd treat you to some of the preproduction tracks for the upcoming album.

They are studio lives, Bogner Uberschall on the left (our other guitarist, Rick) and Mesa Dual Recto on the right (me).

The kick was replaced (Sonar sucks for this, so some kicks are missing...oh well, it's either that or it's not there at all), and we went back and did some overdubs here and there, not to mention adding the sample tracks. Other then minor EQing, the samples and the kick, the tracks are pretty raw. Some of the vocal parts/melodies in the songs (especially the first) are not set. So enough talking, here they are:

85 Two, The Electric Boogalu(bullshit working title)
Preach To Me
I Am The Son

Two and a half weeks, and we'll be down in Orlando tracking this thing...can't wait!

Sounds like Killswitch Engage has sex with Tool and produced this. I dig it.

Ha nice. I'm glad I didnt get the "Sounds like Sevendust" response.

I hope your singer is practicing. And your drummer needs to control his cymbals, Jesus!!!

Are you taking the Uber with you? Retube it before going to the studio. Set everything around 12:00 & you should have a great sound.

Your work is excellent!

Yea, Ben's been sick for about 2 weeks now (along with just about everyone else in the band!!!!!)

Controlling the cymbals? How so?

We just re tubed every amp we're bringing down (SLO 100, Uberschall, and the Dual Recto which is sounding a lot better these days, btw) and we've ordered backup sets of tubes.

Sounds like fun.
I like the break in 85
Preach To Me is very cool.

Go gett em ....

:jedi: :force: :worship: :worship: :worship:  :jedi: :force: :salute:

I guess it would be not banging them so hard.

Hmm...Interesting that you say that. He's usually a pretty soft hitter on the cymbals, unless he's accenting things on the china of course. The overhead mics we used were pretty basic, and the hi hat and ride were not miced (lack of inputs), think that may be part of the odd dynamic you're hearing?

The Recto is cutting thru much better than the Uber, though the Uber is certainly alot better sounding in isolation IMO.
