Never heard of them.

I was somewhat hopeful Suhr was going to release a Doug Aldrich single channel signature amp at NAMM. No dice.

If I had to base the tone on that clip I’d say meh. Doug kills though.

Yeah, that was the last thing I remember hearing as far as Aldrich and amps go.

I think all efforts were concentrated on the single cut guitar. Maybe summer?

I'd like to be positive but there would be more talk of it by now from Doug or someone else in the loop if there was going to be one anytime soon. Suhr could even charge $3K for a single channel and it would sell with Doug behind it. Suhr seems to be concentrating on the indie hipster coffee house crowd with the smaller amps.

Agreed!  ..."hipster coffee house crow" that caught me funny, but I agree. I don't get that short Asian guy with the caterpillar mustache, but I guess he's good.

Andy Wood though....that guy just keeps getting better and better!!

I watched the first NAMM demo Doug did of the Baroni amps and it sounded fucking terrible. Now Doug pretty much walked up and 5 mins later was doing the demo, but the amps just sounded plain bad. And I wasn't the only person who said that.

He isn't demo'ing the amps, he is doing a demo of there stomp box that simulates the lead/rythm channel of an amp he might use. Apparently he likes the company and their product and it would allow him to plug into the clean channel of a backline amp and get "his tone". Doesn't really sound like it would but I did hear one decent demo of him playing it which I am trying to find to post here.

Here it is

Another one, closer to his speakers. It sounds decent.. little muffled maybe and not as cutting as his usual tone.

Pete Thorn mentioned in one of his Q&A's that his new amp is definitely coming, it just didn't happen in time for NAMM. I would imagine it's the same for Doug. John Suhr said that Doug was hitting the road this spring with a few of the new Aura singlecuts, so we may see the amp on the road with him then.
