Marshall JCM800 2203 vs Mesa Triple Rectifer Multi Watt

Buy a Badlander, then get rid of the other amps.
I played a Badlander and i liked it. Just can't get over the fact that it has a USB-Port. I don't like digital stuff in tube amps. But that's just me.

Yes. 😅
No, it isn't. :D
I almost always have a 2203 around. Then i have a bad day and i think the sound sucks and it all starts over again. :)
I could keep a few Amps, but i don't want to, cause on a bad day they all suck anyway.
Guitarist-Disorder-Syndrome, or something like that.

Do you have a modeler? You might benefit from having an Axefx or Kemper or whatever around, to quickly recall different tones and compare them

I would describe these actions as 'punching himself in the dick'.................repeatedly and often.................:p:LOL:

I think both sound good and each have their place in the mix............sometimes you can't get everything you want out of one amp...........As Tonemonster suggests track both and and blend to two amps strengths for an overall killer tone like the pros do in the studio.
Not a fan of blending Amps. I'd do 1 Amp left, 1 Amp right, like in the Clip above.

I used to use Modelers. Don't like them anymore.
But yes, i have a Line 6 Pod Go here.

I’m kind of shocked how close they sound actually . Must be the boost and your line
2203 => Modded 2203 (SLO) => Recto (SLO Clone). And an/or an appropriate Level of extra gain and boost with the pedal. They are all not very far apart from each other.

That’s cool af . I like it a lot too . I don’t own one but I love it . That or a mt100 would be my choice for next amp
Why would you buy a cheap import head if you have all these Monster Heads around?

Somehow the 2203 sounds heavier
In the room i was shocked by how much bigger the 2203 sounded. I played the Recto sitting behind the Drum Kit (I use that for adjustment of the guitar sound to get the frequencies right) changed Amps hit an e-chord (in my case low a) and Boom💥 No contest. But i like them both.

Long & McQuade (Canada) has these on for a great price right now and I had been wanting to try one since they first came out, so I took the plunge.

Don't have a lot of play time behind it yet, but it has really impressed me so far!! All 3 modes are fantastic. Punchy, tight, but feels great to play. Response wise, I hear tonality of both my Multi-watt and my jcm 800 in there, although it is tighter and more modern than both.

So ya.....OP may very well dig a Badlander, if he wants to try another Mesa.
It's a nice Amp. I played one. ;)

It just really unique . If I actually buy another I want something different . I’ve got the bases covered . I was not expecting shit from it . Tried it at sweetwater .

So many people have never played a JCM800 at proper rodent killing volume to understand the way the nutsack enlarges as the volume goes up. I always call the volume the nutsack control on them.

You've got the whole ground covered and then some. :D

Master volume > 4, is crushing and awesome. Love it.
With the amount of gain and boost i use in front of the Amp it's around 3 for me.
4 works too, but then the Nutsack already starts to hang a bit too low.
Depends on the Cab too, of course.

Speaking of Nuts: :D
