the recto sounds a little better glued in the mix i think, the bass breathes a little better with that recto scoop. they are close though

both sound great, not a bad place to be decision-wise. I could see a good reason for either one

You do this like once a month @Simon Dorn :ROFLMAO:

Why not just keep a 2203 around instead of going back and forth? You always say you prefer the 2203 for your style of drop tuned death metal, so the grass isnt any greener on the other side, right?

I would describe these actions as 'punching himself in the dick'.................repeatedly and often.................:p:LOL:

I think both sound good and each have their place in the mix............sometimes you can't get everything you want out of one amp...........As Tonemonster suggests track both and and blend to two amps strengths for an overall killer tone like the pros do in the studio.

Some people just like getting new amps . It’s an addiction . But I know you know this too lol

It is the only amp I play, since I bought it. My fleet of Marshalls are collecting dust.

It is a kick ass amp. And there are 1000 different ways to set it up.
That’s cool af . I like it a lot too . I don’t own one but I love it . That or a mt100 would be my choice for next amp

I am so happy I bought the Badlander. Much better amp than my Mark V imho. The built in two notes is a cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae.
Long & McQuade (Canada) has these on for a great price right now and I had been wanting to try one since they first came out, so I took the plunge.

Don't have a lot of play time behind it yet, but it has really impressed me so far!! All 3 modes are fantastic. Punchy, tight, but feels great to play. Response wise, I hear tonality of both my Multi-watt and my jcm 800 in there, although it is tighter and more modern than both.

So ya.....OP may very well dig a Badlander, if he wants to try another Mesa.

Awesome!

Yes the Badlander covers my modded jcm 800/ Rectifier itch. That is why I suggested the OP try one out.

Yes. 😅
No, it isn't. :D
I almost always have a 2203 around. Then i have a bad day and i think the sound sucks and it all starts over again. :)
I could keep a few Amps, but i don't want to, cause on a bad day they all suck anyway.
Guitarist-Disorder-Syndrome, or something like that.
