Ali Express Parts

I don't normally do this, and if it was a critical component I absolutely wouldn't even consider it. I ordered a pedalboard breakout panel mount from Ali Express today. I know they stole their design from Best Tronics. I know it's cheap Chinese bullshit. Even after I paid for transit and tariffs, it was 1/3 the price of the BTPA before shipping. It's just a metal bracket with some holes in it. If the holes are wrong, I can just drill them out and nut and bolt it, since I need the drill to mount them anyways. Am I wrong? I feel dirty for going the cheap route.

The Chinese made complete knock offs of Honda Engines and the only way it was stopped, by Honda, was to point out that they didn't have the mandatory emission labels. Otherwise, there was no recourse.

Much smaller consequences if the bracket under my pedalboard fails mid set. I've had worse happen on stage.

Most American companies farm out their metal components to China, it's the only way to be competitive.

They finally showed up. They work great. I'm ashamed to say this is a great option for adding a breakout panel to a board.
