So the guy am his advertisement has an LTD EC 1000 for sale. He saying that he's not answering any offers underneath $1500. I sent him an email saying that these go new for less than $900 and his answer was not in the finish that he has. Am I missing something here? Or is this guy delusional?

Another deluded CL whack job. But he was probably "told" that by the salesperson when he bought it, so he believes it.

People on Craigslist sometimes have no idea what something is worth. There's a guy in Mpls who overprices everything, he does have cool gear but an 83 JCM 800 for 1800??? Cmon dude. Or a 75 JMP for 2500?? Nope. I get the ' let's offer lower' thing but he's 30% over a normal price. Does he not realize people check ebay?

Yep. And they are just fishing for another sucker.

THIS.

There was an idiot on eBay a while back who had a run of the mill OLP with a starting big of $1500 and it was listed as an EBMM EVH. I messaged him about it to let him know what he had, in case he wasn't a guitar guy, and that anyone who wanted an EBMM EVH would know that immediately. Furthermore, even if a know-nothing had bought it, if the buyer was at all dissatisfied, the seller would be on the losing end of a fraud case. He replied that when he entered EVH in the category bar when creating the listing, it suggested a starting price of $1500. I replied that'd be correct IF he, in fact, had an EVH. But a used OLP was worth about $200-300. He called me an a-hole and took the listing down.

-I'm curious why you would even bother sending him an offer-

I didn't send him an offer. I sent him an email stating that his pricing was a bit high. I sent him a link to the same guitar brand new from sweetwater. I said that he may want to rethink his pricing because he over priced it a bit and that it would probably sit. I wished him good luck with the sale though

Wife: Sell your guitars! It's time to be a big boy!

Him: Babe, they've been on craigslist for weeks, nobody will buy it!

I've thought this many times as well when looking at way overpriced stuff that sits FOREVER with no price reductions (ever) in classifieds for gear. There are a couple of Suhrs guitars in the classifieds here that fit the description

I had a few items FS on CL lately and out of about 15 responses, every person was a fuck head. Constantly trying to jew me down and offering me practically half of my asking price which I only slightly inflated expecting to get haggled. Then when I said no to the offer one guy even said I was a fucking dickhead. Unbelievable! Fuck Craigslist.

No need to use a racist term man. Not cool. If you spoke like that to the buyer maybe that's why he called you a dickhead
