Hello guys (and girls?) 🙋‍♂️

Since the delivery time for my amps has now broken through the 5-year limit and I had received twice as many amp orders in 2025 alone as I can build, I have to announce an order stop once again for an indefinite period of time, but for a period of at least one year.

Unfortunately for me and to the detriment of my customers, some of whom have been waiting already for a long time, an event occurred in May of this year that made me unable to work for 6 months.

I don't want to go into too much detail, so here is just the long story short:

While I was helping a friend find a leak in his car's gas system, I had my head too deep in the engine bay of his car when he suddenly spontaneously came up with the idea of using a lighter to see where a flame was starting. Even before I could prevent his insanity, there was a gas explosion, after which I had no more front hair, no eyebrows and no more eyelashes...
... but even worse and with subtle skin burns on my face, it had grilled the corneas of my eyes and my vision afterwards was as if I was looking through frosted glass.

My right eye was saved with special eye drops and ointments over the course of several months, but the left eye required a cornea transplant. So I couldn't read or write, let alone do any soldering work for a few months. I was only able to do assembly work, which I could even do blindly based on my experience.

This may now also serve as an explanation for those customers who had contacted me by email or messenger in the summer and autumn and received no answer from me. The few answers I wrote during this time I had dictated to my Lady after she had read the emails to me (with her catastrophic English) 😄🤦‍♂️

Well, at least since the end of October I've finally been able to see clearly enough that I can read, write and solder again without any problems. Thank God! And my friend be cursed 😈☺️

In any case I would like to finish the amp orders of my customers first (of which alone 17 amp orders go to members of this board), whose promised delivery date I had already exceeded more than a year now, until I have completed and delivered a certain number of amps, before I decide to accept further orders at some point later again.

In addition, my two Ladies also take up a certain amount of my time. In particular, I would like to dedicate enough time to my very young Lady, who will turn one year old in January, because once she is older, as a father, you can no longer make up for the attention that was missed in the past and I think you all will understand that.

I would like to show you current photos of my two Ladies here, especially of my little Princess. However, since there is a very nice member here who has mastered the art of embellishing photos exceptionally well, I will never publish photos from my private life here again. Say thank you to him for that!

So, now you all know what's going on
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Cheers
Larry

Next time you are searching for a gas leak, use soapy water. It makes bubbles to determine the source. Fire is more effective, but..well now you know what fire does

It wasn't my idea to search with a lighter and I know about the soap water method, but it happened just as I took my first sight under the hood.
Idiots sometimes are so ingenious 🤦‍♂️

Brother H, I'm sorry to hear about the accident and relieved that you're recovering well.

Such "random" shit man. 6 months gone at the snap of a finger, literally.

Oha Nick, I'm happy to see that the control setting on your Pure Metal Machine now corresponds almost spot-on to my preferred favorite setting 😮

Also the settings of the mini switches corresponds exactly to my preference, all switches down (off) except the second mini switch (Brute) engaged :2thumbsup:

Heard from Larry, He's back in action my 962 along with another member should be done march or april. Very nice Xmas present to hear that for me! Glad he's healthy and rocking again. Should be just in time before the summer when I head to nashville finish up 3 Last songs for an Album so I'm pumped. !

Just to let you know you're not alone - one of the 'original four' of us guys who took up instruments had a similar incident. He was the youngest and therefore he had to play bass since 3 guitar players were already one too many. But I digress...

He, and 3 other guys were working on a carburetor in a closed shop in the winter time. The heater kicked in, the gas fumes went BOOM and the whole building's roof was raised a tiny bit and came back down - mostly in place. This was a commercial mechanic's shop, so a quite large building. Intensive care + several plastic surgeries later + 40 years time = you can't see the damage to his face but his fingers still look like Freddy Kruger's face.

The good part is he's turned into a first call bass player in the large west coast city where he lives. Happy (mostly) ending.

Good god Larry.. So happy you are recovering. Thanks for the update and all the best for 2026!

Hello Larry,

Congratulations on becoming a father, and I wish You fast recovery from the fire accident!

Little update :

My Rock Wizard baby got a beautiful Lexicon PCM 92 reverb. Of course in matching custom single rack. :)
