First time I hear them, it gets some Savarage-like vibes to me;
very cool thanks for sharing!

Saw these guys in a local bar in around that time. Brings back some cool memories. Thanks for sharing.

Love that album. Find a song better than Dare To Spit On My Grave that came out in last 20 years. I’ll wait.

Great band! Singer Rick Hughes is a great singer! He also started the band Saints and Sinners which had a great debut album. My drummer was part of that project.

Their comeback album from a couple years ago was not bad at all. Also a fun fact, Dave Mustaine was raving about the guitar tone on Stoned Again when he was guesting on MuchMusic (Canada’s MTV).

Great band for sure. Rick is a great singer and Stéphane is a very good guitar player too. They were just too late in the game as grunge was already taking the music scene by storm in 1992 when they released their album.

Coming out when they did, and being from Canada, really went against them. I think if they were from the UK or the US and came out a couple of years earlier, they would have been much more successful. I can only speak for the first album, because I haven't heard the other two, but the production is good, and the vocals and musicianship is top notch. Some great songs on there too. I'm gonna have to spin the vinyl tonight.

After listening to the entire first album again, one thing stands out to me and I can't unhear it. Rick Hughes sounds like John Olivia. The similarity is striking. I'm fact the band in general sounds very much like older Savatage, Sirens, Fight for the Rock, Power of the Night. Great stuff.

Agree, that's one of the 1st things I thought of too when I discovered & listened to the clips posted by harddriver in this thread (see my first post above).
Loved the Oliva brothers in the old Savatage; Jon voice was insane and Criss must be one of the most underrated/unknown players of the genre to the general public.

For me they just have a killer guitar/amp tone, great song structures and great riffs ...........the singing is just a bonus.:yes:

What a coincidence. I was just listening to Savatage Sirens on Spotify and when it was done, Spotify decided that I was listening to Sword next. :p

After seeing this thread the other day, I listened to the whole album on my way home from work. Great album, I'll be listening to it again. They sound kinda familiar but I dunno why
