that is terrible, like fashion faux pas all in one, what were they thinking

the only thing i like is the colour of the wood and the toggle switch

WHAT THE FUCK? who comes up with this shit? i don't even wanna know the price.

Wow, these guys are either really out of touch or just really bored.

On another note I played the Flood model yesterday. Played nice, looked sweet and sounded nice! I wish they had at least put an inlayed logo though, even if it's a studio. A worthwhile model.

They should concentrate more on quality control and improving their existing models.

The knobs look weird, the pickup selector looks weird. Gold hardware on that color wood, looks too gold/yellow. Not liking the head stock either.

And in the writeup they talk about P-90 pickups, but yet show a guitar with 3 humbuckers.

looks like they are truly desperate... thats hideous :bleh:
Oh, how the mighty have fallen

What the fuck are Gibson smoking??

First the Jonas Brothers signature melody maker and now this? That company seems to be losing touch with the needs and wants of guitar players from what I read on the net, and the QC seems terrible nowadays.

Is the QC bad on everything? or are the high end guitars perfect? I haven't purchased another Gibson since 2005 and even then it was bad enough to find something without defects

You now what they say about cars... That when they start to list cupholders as a feature of the car, you know it's rubbish and they're desperate to think of something to list.

First feature of this guitar is "The Gibson logo". This says it all for me.

Oh yeah, and it's ugly as hell.

Liked the toggle-switch, the logo and the body... That's about it. Make it with a somewhat more "normal" knob-outlay and another headstock, though, and it would be another story.

Not sure what other hardware-color I would prefere, though... I can't see it work out with either black nor nickle...

This + a million. They really need to just stop making new models altogether for 1-2 years and just really focus on QC.

If they can't QC something as simple as what's in the ad print, don't expect much from the guitars.

Gibsons new motto: "Lower your expectations and you'll always be satisfied!"

Wow... that has got to be one of the ugliest guitars I've ever seen... Looks like a cheap attempt to capitalize on the Flying-V and Les Paul parts... let's call it a Les-V or a Flying-Paul... or let's just call it what it really is... a piece of turd.

The only new Gibson guitars that I really like are these two...

"The traditional Les Paul mahogany body/maple top is graced with a distinctive swirl finish with a limited run of 300 guitars in each finish. When the Gibson factory flooded, 55-gallon drums of lacquer spilled. After the waters receded, these swirl patterns were on the floor. The mahogany neck has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard while a 490R neck humbucker and 498T bridge humbucker harness the resonant power of the time-tested selection of tonewoods."

My hell! That thing is plain ugly. "A New Classic". Whatever!
