Another Kemper vs Real amp - a bit more scientific this time

quick question for the Kemper crowd - how does it work with pedals? for example, does it have a loop I can run delays into? Could I run a tube screamer in front? If so, how does it react?

It works great with pedals. I often audition OD pedals before profiling. I run them into an amp profile, set up the pedal. Then run them to the real amp with the same settings as used for the original profile. The result is pretty much the same. I've never done a direct A/B comparison though.

the Kemper rocks man.... i barely have touched my boutique amps since i got mine... still for live/band use i will use actual amps to move some air... but at home, kemper all the way.

Yeah I use it almost exclusively. I do fire up the amps occasionally, but I end up profiling them and turn them back off loL :D

I don't know which is which. But I DO hear a difference. In terms of just the first section, I prefer the second one. The first one has this sort of "smeary" "grainy" high-end artifact. The second one sounds less compressed and more raw. I don't care which is which, I just know I prefer that second clip.

On my iPhone I thought the first seemed a bit warmer and smoother.

I decided to stop by and wish everyone a Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays and I saw this.

I've been using the kemper for almost 4 years now and I'm still blown away by it. It's definitely one of the best pieces of gear I've purchased ever. Cheers!

Just for shits and Giggles, and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to fail missrably

Kemper, Real Amp, Kemper, Real Amp , Real Amp, Kemper.

What makes me laugh is that the more I listened, the more I wanted to switch some of them up, which tells me that it's really way too close to make any difference to me.

Cheers everyone!!

Merry Christmas Ralph, nice to see ya!

Thanks so much!! Right back atcha, Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays!! Cheers!

I can't tell any difference between the various sections of that. It all sounds the same to me and killer!

I think it is time for people to finally admit that with these new units, you simply cannot hear the digitulz in recordings.

That said, for me it still breaks down in the room live and loud - I prefer tube amps there...

Of course, to any audience, Kemper FOH is gonna be great sounding. And if I were gigging and I did not have a roadie to carry my W/D/W equipment and set it up, I'd be fine with a Kemper live setup. Carry in my guitar, green box, and in ears monitors. How convenient is that?

It starts with the Kemper and alternates between the KPA and the Mark V25. Ending with the Mark V25.

I have to get my Marshall cab re-wired then I can do some Super Lead comparisons. I have a Super lead pack though.

Thanks Steve,
Like I said, if I didn't know which is which I don't think I'd be able to tell.

Hey Ralph,

Close man. Kemper, Real, kemper, Real, Kemper, Real.

Told you I suck at this game. Got the other clip, but I'm ass backwards on this one. That convinced me, KPA is badass and no one would ever know. Nice job!

Vlad! How are you ?
Damn!! That's what I had originally but I second guessed Myself hahahaha. That statement wasn't said to give myself a pat on the back lol... It was meant to show that I really didn't know. I am glad that someone else likes the Kemper as much as I do :D . I wasn't going to go back to digital, but after I tried the Kemper I was blown away. I was totally prepared to HATE it and I was truly surprised!! All the best!
