I thought Mr. Diamond was a former Suhr employee who ripped off the CAA designs.

Most forums aren't too Diamond-friendly because of this.

Here is a review of the Nitrox...
sounds ok in clips.....would like to check one out in person to get the full effect.

Dan, the Nitrox seems to be going for that searing and sizzling top end, modern brutal type of tone that you have more than covered with your FJA modded recto. I think with the Nitrox you'd be getting a worse version of what you already have.

I would look into the Spec Op if you were going to go the Diamond route.

They're located here in Houston. I've heard a few guys here playing Phantoms, and they all sounded great. I can't afford the price tag, so I've never really bothered to hunt one down and try for myself.

I've tried the Nitrox, Spec-Op and Phantom and wasn't too blown away by any of them. Definitely hard rock/metal amps...but they can be harsh and stiff sounding.

I've played the Nitrox. It's a cool amp, but it does have a harsh nature to it. Reminds me of a Rivera K-Tre.

Ah yes Gene, I remember that thread from the good old days of hcaf.

Yeah John did not sound too pleased.

yea dont hear much about them ,ive seen 5 finger live with them and they sounded great, sevendust also
take this one for what its worth, theres another one on there with the tone king ,but he annoys the shit out of me ,with his boys and girls

Never heard the issue between Diamond and Suhr. Very interesting. I had a CAA se plus and while it was a great amp, I actually prefer the Phantom. What details can we get about this issue between both companies??
